Taking the day off after returning from AZ. Founder's knows how to welcome me back to Michigan. (I seem to have brought the sun back with me...beautiful day for February)

 

I have been yearning for something hoppy and juicy all winter. I'm up to my ears around here in delicious stouts and barleywines, but just have no taste for them these days. Went to the release at Central Waters this weekend (and yes, the Eighteen is really terrific!) took a detour home in hopes of finding some Toppling Goliath goodness. Struck gold, literally and figuratively, with this Xhops Gold. I think it was bottled some months ago, but it is still really fantastic, juicy, tropical, floral--a real delight. Wish I had a case of this stuff! Happy Monday, BAs

Good afternoon, BA's! A day off means a lunch beer. Going quasi-local, with this TG 1492 IPA. Pours a cloudy amber, nice head and lacing, clean resiny aroma, solid malt backbone with good balance and a bitter finish. Readily available here, and at a good price. Could be my summertime go-to if summer ever returns!

Sneakin' some Hopslam into the waterpark

 

One more Founder's Azacca...sadly, my last one.

 

I'm trying a new one to our area called Lift Off West Coast Style IPA by Daredevil Brewing in Speedway IN. I noticed it on the shelf a couple of weeks ago and decided to purchase this weekend based on the review by @jzeilinger and the decent price of $10.99 for a 4 pack of tall boys. A really flavorful beer with a nice balance of tropical hops and slick creamy malt. I'd love to try a fresher batch as the one I found was canned 12/21. Still a winner and I'll be looking for more in the future.
