No. But even then, it's super easy to change the name associated to a ticket.

 

Only manged to get one GA tix, looking for one for my Father to join me if anyone has any extras I'd happily pay or trade for it.

Yeah, I guess I don't see the need to really associate names with tickets. As long as the ticket is valid and the entrant is 21, let it be. It's a pretty large event and the line is gnarly, so I don't see the need to complicate the process any more. I'm probably missing something, though. Got my two tix to keep the streak alive!

 

They did a wait list last year, but I can't remember how I got onto it...

Got my tickets, been shut out previous years finally get to go this year.

 

Not a complication, but another added step to ensure compliance and reward people that paid for tickets properly. I'm a big fan of what Surly does. Prior to doors, have one group of employees or volunteers go through the line and check names against IDs and also check age of attendees, and if they match, give out wristbands. This is probably the most time consuming step and can be done way beforehand. Then, when attendees get to the gate, if you have a wristband, present your ticket for scanning and go in. Simple enough.

 

I can't speak for the GA line but that's what happened last year at Firestone for the early admission folks. They checked tickets and gave out wristbands in advance. But they still didn't double check to make sure IDs matched the name on the ticket.

 

Refreshed at 9:59, got my two! I've been in CA three years, but this is the first year I'm able to go.

10:02 all tickets were "unavailable", anyone know how many they sell?

Can't wait. Year 5. Still sobering up from all the CBS guzzling last year.

 

I'm surprised the Motel 6 doesn't really get mentioned as a spot. It was cheap and decent there last year, walking distance from Adelaide, Oaks, and the festival.
