Stuff like this is the exact reason I don't go to beer releases. Sounds like pure insanity to me.

I'll just be over here drinking all the shelf turds I buy.

My only beef with the ticket system is that they were free, so who knows how many were claimed that will go unused. Wouldn't it make more sense to just make the ticket price the cost of the three 4-packs? No one is going to drive out to Marengo and buy less than that if the limit is set to three- let's be real here.

Kind of my point. Since all the HH fan boys (I like HH, just not all in on them) are such IPA connoisseurs, I cited what I believe is a world-class DIPA that is much more available.

Meh. Whatever works for them. I can't be on my phone all day in anticipation of them posting info on the next ticket sale. It works for some and doesn't for others. I thought the easiest solution would've been to limit it to half a case but it still wouldn't solve their parking situation. Just wait until people start scalping tickets.

Juju comes out next week. I think I'll drown my sorrows over the Hoof situation in a superior beer that's 10 minutes from my house.

If they go unused, it allows for more distribution.

And if someone pays for 3 4-packs but is unable to go, HH essentially doubles their profits. Complaints and refund requests would be through the roof.

I'm an IPA guy, but no way I would go stand in line for cans... I will wait for the brewpub to open and then check it out. Nothing I have had from them has changed my belief in Fat Head's as IPA king.

I was going to say the same thing pretty much word for word. Couldn't agree more with the 3 four pack limit, but I probably won't be there much now because I am not on FB in the first place, so I doubt I will come across tickets often. Whateves. Best of luck to all involved. I will be too busy hitting refresh on the "New to Ohio" thread to find my Bodhi bottles anyway:grinning: In the meantime, can someone post a GIF of a countdown clock for Ju Ju?

Tickets for HH kind of ruins the whole experience IMO but I completely get that they need to solve parking so tickets make sense. As already mentioned, only issue with this so far is that it shouldn't be a random unannounced link drop. They should announce with a few days notice what day and time tickets go on sale. No entitlement here, just saying by doing it this way they are losing a lot of loyal customers who come down often because they work during the day and aren't staring at their Facebook feed when it randomly drops.

In what regard? Maybe in your opinion, but not by any objective measure.

Just my personal preference I suppose, lucky to have access to both. Seems like fat heads brew west coast style IPAs mostly and I prefer juicy tropical IPAs that hoof hearted has been brewing. Konkey dong was my favorite IPA of all time, can't believe it's 4.2 rating

Fair enough, but I kind of disagree that Fat Head's doesn't brew beers with tropical flavor. Have you had Head Hunter lately? They changed something and it is way more fruity than it used to be. Then there is also Juicy Juju and Juiced Head Hunter. They only thing I see different in HH is the milkshake appearance and I really don't get any overwhelming tropical fruit. I agree with Konkey Dong being the best I have had from them.

I'm with you, Mike. Until Hoof works out some of their consistency issues, they aren't sniffing Fat Head's (IMO, that is). I probably sound like a HH basher. I actually like ther stuff a lot. I just need to see more before I start saying they're at the top of the Ohio IPA world.

Agreed, can't make everyone happy. Maybe HH should force car pooling to allow for ample parking and to be environmental friendly haha.

I'm definitely not a hater either, but I think people are getting a little carried away based on my experience with the beer.

I already have Hoof Hearted slightly ahead of Fat Head's as it is, and they're still really young. Blabe is better than any beer Fat Head's makes IMO.

Phew, it felt like its been forever since we've had this straw polling of IPA's in Ohio.
