There's more craft beer out there than ever, and a fairly limited amount of ingredients in comparison. Have any of you come across beers that taste almost identical to you?

There are a few IIPA's that I've had around here which taste similar, but the main differences between them are intensity of the flavors and feel.

I think a lot of Lagunitas beers taste very similar but not identical. IPA, Sucks, Hop Stoopid, Born Yesterday, Sumpin Sumpin all share a lot of similar qualities. I recently decided that Kane Head High and Magnify Vine Shine taste almost identical.

Fremont's Summer Ale and Ft. George's Big Guns taste identical to me. And that's a good thing.

Fort Collins Banshee Red Ale, Ska Pinstripe Red Ale, and Lumberyard Red Ale all tasted identical to me. Thankfully, its a taste that I happen to love.

Just based off the amount of beers available, and crossover "styles" I think there are many many beers that taste very much alike in the grand scheme of things.

This. And that's why I don't have a fave IPA. Much of them taste good.

Other beers that taste the same... eh, I'm not a super taster but I can't think of any atm. Not even the last I've had in recent weeks, they were all different.

I wouldn't claim all IPA's taste the same like @keithmurray, but these days it seems like every brewer's portfolio needs to have a dry-hopped citrusy IPA and/or session IPA and these styles can be very similar from brewer to brewer. I like the style well enough, but they do start to run together in my mind.

Personally, I find many "American Wheats" very interchangeable, and more so in recent years as the more hop-forward wheat beers have shifted into the "wheat IPA" category. It's wheat malt, a clean yeast, and mild hopping... there's not much left to for a brewer to work with to differentiate the beer from another unless they make additions.

most of the ones that are are being said taste the same are from the same brewer. so besides different hop combinations they are using the same yeast and malts so that's kinda a given. mainly the yeast are giving similar flavors
