Stoked to go for the first time this year. Seeing other folks talk about bottle shares, uber etc now makes me reconsider the hotel I got 15 min away. I just couldn't see myself dropping $170 a night at the Motel 6 near the event center. Ah well, should've booked months ago.

Everyone saying they should have booked months ago. In my experience, the rooms are already blocked and are the same price then if they aren't already sold out.. You didn't miss anything by not booking early, except maybe the motel 6 for less than $200.

Friends and fellow beer addicts, no need to be tense about hotel rooms. A heinieload of people reserved rooms in advance of the sale yesterday who won't need them. Those rooms will go back on sale, just get on a waiting list and keep checking. Happens every year.

Going for a third time. I'm at the Best Western Black Oaks. IMO the shares around this area are some of the best! Can't wait to hang out with everyone.

You and a lot of other people. Best advice - stop looking for tickets right now. They're pretty much all ear marked for potential friends, girlfriends, wives and what have you.

Closer to the event you'll see a lot of people's plans change and they will scramble to get rid of the tickets. Happens every year without fail.

This x1000. Right now is the worst time to look for tickets if you were shut out as those that did buy them to sell/trade have them at a premium. Once you get close to the event and people start to realize Paso is 4+ hours away their plans change. It might not be as easy since you now have to buy them a little closer to the event (used to be Thanksgiving night that tickets went on sale) but it will definitely be easier/cheaper the week of the event. Best of luck as it is the best beer event I've been to.

Had 4 separate people trying to get tickets at 11:59 (CT), only managed 1 GA tix *sigh*. We all experienced the same problem. Would hit refresh tix would show available, hit proceed and BAM "processing error, number of tickets requested not available." Happened multiple times regardless of selecting 1 or 2 tickets, we were all on separate networks mobile and wired. Only thing I would attribute our low success rate to is IP addresses being prioritized, but that would would be some shady BS. So, I'm going to believe we were just unfortunate.

Glad to hear there may be a chance at last minute tix purchases/swaps prior to event, cause we already booked a room before tix went on sale *BIG sigh*

Honestly, if I didn't get tickets I would have still gone. The bottle shares that happen during the nights are insane where ever you go. I usually treat the event as a sort of sobering up point and prepping for the more beer I'll consume later.

I traded whalez for two tickets. I mean a few bottles of beer so I can drink some of the best beers in the world while enjoying beautiful paso? Seems more then reasonable to me.

Now this hotel thing is different. Looks like 500 for two nights. The wallet hurts.

Share at the Adelaide: do people typically just show up/pop bottles/share openly?

First time goer. Would love to meet people and bring things to share :grinning:

Last year, they started clearing people out of there around 9:30-10P on Friday night. Didn't make it over Saturday night. It got pretty damn dark there haha.

Pro-Tip: No matter how boss the Adelaide share is the night before... don't go hard. Trust me, the share is great, but you will hate yourself tomorrow...
