    Brewery Approvals:
Note: I have only been putting new brewery approvals here – anything that is just getting reapproved, I do not list. Along with this, any macro brewery that is approved, I do not put. An example of this would be things like a South Korean macro brewery.

(For TX breweries: B = Brewery, BP = Brewpub)

    Fredonia – Nacogdoches (BP)
    HopFusion – Fort Worth (B)

I had a sample can that they sent out a month or two ago. It's not interesting.

I don't think they needed a new label approval. One bottle shop owner told me earlier this week that he was expecting it today, FWIW, I could be mistaken.

If it is the same label, there is no need for another label approval.

I'm thought it will need a new approval as its not even the same alcohol % as the brimstone - but I could be mistaken. Not sure what triggers the label requirement - just seems like if they are slapping a new label on the beer with different ingredients/abv that it would require new approval. Pure speculation though.

512 WBADPP hasn't gotten a new label approval for the one they use since something like 2012. There are still some things that I don't get about approvals - basically we all know the ABV does change, but no new approvals. I know they can be within 0.3% of the approval on the original approval to work, though.

Most interesting beer goes to Abita. Too bad it will likely be a letdown like other Bourbon St. releases so I will avoid.

I'll take a Happy Ending. Had one in 2012 that was memorable. Hope we see it in Austin.

Sweetwater doesn't have a distributor in Austin yet so we won't see it here.

Great work, very interesting stats, and as someone who loves variety this is very pleasing!

Would be interesting to see how they compare to the recent population trends in the major metro areas. Might also be interesting to see how this correlates to the total volume of alcohol consumed, and if that can be used to project some saturation point where there's just too much or too many beers.

Pretty much why I did that - it was out of my own interest. Hell, most of the things I do are because I am curious, but might as well spend a little extra time to make it so everyone can see it.

I almost shit my pants when (regular-ass) Ruination hit distro down here. The struggle was real back then.
