Good morning, everyone! The weather has been consistently inconsistent lately. I wonder whether Six Point is on to something?

Morning BA's Trying a new IPA to start the day, this is Hopcity brewing co. hopbot IPA, this beer poured a slightly cloudy orangey amber color and smells strongly of grapefruit, orange, mango, caramel and some light pine, Hopefully the flavor is as good. Cheers!

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday!

This is an excellent IPA. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pineapple, citrus rind, mint, and pine; with light cracker/bready malts and herbal/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitterness; with a very smooth, crisp, dry, and sticky/resinous hop finish. I haven’t had this one in a while, glad I grabbed a single. Will do so again for sure.

This is a top class American stout. Huge flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and smoke/charred malt; with balanced herbal, pine, spicy hops; and some raisin, plum, licorice fruitiness. Good sized pine and roast/charred bitterness; with a creamy and sticky finish; with good dryness from hops and highly roasted character. Glad this is finally available in my county. The distributor finally picked it up last week. Still waiting on the Chainbreaker, Inversion, and Red Chair to show up. I hope they pull through.

I haven’t had this in almost 4 years, so I decided to pick up a pack last week. Bottled Jan 2015. This was really delicious! Flavors of big raisin, prune, fig, date, banana, pepper, clove, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, toasted dark bread, and light nuttiness. Nice amount of peppery yeast on the finish; with some light bready creaminess and stickiness in the mouthfeel. Fairly dry, touch of yeast tartness. Lightly warming finish from ABV. Very well rounded in completely, with balanced yeast and malt notes. Seems to be a bit of a love/hate beer in the reviews, but I am glad I got the 4 pack. A really well made Belgian strong dark for the price. Very impressive.

Fantastic imperial red! Big flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with some caramel, brown sugar, and toasted bready malt and floral/grassy earthiness. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitter finish; with a dry and sticky/resinous mouthfeel; touch of malt creaminess. Only 6-7 weeks old on this bomber and it is outstanding. Very bright and juicy/resinous on hops. Dark/bready malt plays a supporting role in the background. So awesome.

    Cheers!

Starting the day with this stout from Long Trail. It's OK, a little on the bitter side.

Mrs. MacMalt always has flowers in the kitchen and she feels affirmed when I include them in my posts. I've offered her a Flower Power but she's not into IPA's.

A very educational beer, showcasing the flavors/aromas of Maris Otter malts and Mosaic hops.

Next up is Sawdust City Brewing of Gravenhurst Ontario's Lone Pine IPA. This IPA pours a cloudy orange with less than a finger of head, at 6.5 percent it has aromas of fresh pine, orange peel, grapefruit, and some plain malted barley. Cheers![IMG]

Drinking a stout this morning while I relax. Also crossing off another state today on my quest to try a beer from all 50 states. It's delicious!
