For Black Friday they did several versions of it. By the time I got there the next day, they only had the Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel Aged version. I did like it alot, ranks right along with the best local BBA Stouts.
In '14 I got to try the German Chocolate version and it was also fantastic.

Finkel + Garf's bourbon barrel aged imperial stout might be one of the best CO BA stouts out there right now. Holy crap is that stuff good.

Diebolt had plenty of BA Commodore available as of this evening. Pretty good price for a BA stout, esp with AHA discount.

Agreed. I had never had it before so I cracked one last night. Fantastic. You would never know it was that high of ABV, especially fresh (unlike many of there other BA offerings)

BA Java Ten Fidy is back on at the tasty weasel Sunday at noon. I would go get a crowler but I don't want to miss the game because I am waiting in line.

Damn tasty beer, but I actually preferred the regular BA Fidy over the Java. I think I'm in the minority though and I imagine it's gonna be packed again.

I wouldn't know what others think but that was my opinion as well. The Java TenFidy in your crowler tasted better than when I had it Christmas Eve. The coffee was more pronounced for some reason. Nice thing is those Crowlers last for months with proper storage.

Surprisingly, it was very smooth getting the BA Java ten fidy today. No line to speak of when I showed up at about 12:15. I'm not sure if it was the fact that there pre-filled a ton of crowlers, that today was the super bowl and not many people came, or that no one ordered 400, but it was super fast.

If I got another Java TenFidy I'd be tempted to "age" it in my fridge for 5-8 weeks.

Obviously our tastes may differ, but I just had one a week or two ago from the original canning, and it seemed like most of the coffee had faded IMO and the others that drank it with me. Take that with a grain of salt because it's the only one I've had, but I would assume there was a lot more coffee when it was fresh. Still a great beer though

I wonder if the people who bought 20-30 crowlers have drank them all yet

Haha, no kidding. And it could just be that I expected more coffee, but I would think that flavors would mellow faster in a crowler than a traditional can or bottle.

I had it pretty fresh and I didn't think there was much coffee. Had it side by side with Victory's Java Cask, and that blew it out of the water as far as coffee presence goes.

Good to know. The only one I've had was definitely not fresh. Honestly, I just want more BATF. That stuff is so good and at a very reasonable price point

You're talking about the 4-packs called "Oak Aged Imperial Stout?" They have almost no info on their website, and that is all I've seen. I got a 4-pack a couple days ago, have had two, and think it's alright but am not in love with it. I don't think this is barrel-aged-it definitely seems like it was treated with oak chips to me. I find it tannic/astringent, and can't put it in the class of the oak aged Yetis. I dunno how they do it, but Great Divide seems to make oak aged beers better than anyone.
