Happy Super Bowl Sunday BAs! Apparently they'll let anybody start this thread.
The two year old woke me at 5, then fell back asleep watching Mickey Mouse.
So daddy will read some Stephen King and hang out with his other favorite baby.

Somebody has to post this today. Might as well be somebody from Chicago.

Good morning BA, Have a great Sunday! I randomly decided to start rewatching Burn Notice on Netflix last night. I finished the series a while ago, but it is still awesome to watch some episodes a second time.

Awesome Black DIPA. Juicy hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced chocolate, cocoa, toasted dark bread, and light coffee/smoky malts. Nice sized pine/citrus rind/roasted bitter finish; with balanced hop stickiness and malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderately dry and delicious! I have one more left in the 4 pack I got for xmas from my sister, who lives in Missouri. I wish we got Odell here.

Great quad as always. Huge flavors of raisin, prune, fig, cherry, date, apple, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and light nutty maltiness; with some herbal hop and yeasty earthiness. Fair amount of yeast spice on the finish; with a great balance of yeast and malt flavors with no cloying sweetness. Some creaminess and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Well attenuated overall considering the ABV. Really all around excellent for an American made Quad. Will definitely be picking up Blasphemy next time it is released, believe that’s in May.

Incredible DIPA! Big flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, apricot, passion fruit, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with moderate malts of light honey/toasted bread with herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/herbal/grassy bitterness; with a nice sticky/resinous mouthfeel with some light-medium creaminess; with great balance and no astringency. Moderately dry finish. Nothing but juicy hops, with a nice malt backbone that isn't too sweet or heavy in the mouthfeel. Glad Avery is back in MI again. I need to go find more of this DIPA, it is supposed to be year round.

This is amazing. Big flavors of cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, ginger, clove, vanilla, coffee, and cream spice; with balanced milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toast, and dark bread malt sweetness; with some herbal/spice earthiness. Light-moderate herbal spice/roast bitterness; with a bittersweet balanced finish with a fantastic creamy/silky medium-full body with some slight sticky/chalky notes from the spice and roast malts. Very smooth sipping with a small lingering warmth of alcohol. I wouldn't put it over regular Bomb!, but it's close. The spice notes balance seamlessly in this one, I ended up buying as much as I could find after I reviewed it last month. Ended up with 4 more. Regular Bomb! is shelf beer all year, which is a world I like to live in.

    Cheers!

    New Obscura Album is amazing.

Same with the new DT Album, I listened to it front to back at least 5 times now. The whole album is 130 minutes long.

Started SB50 off early--kiddos woke me.

First one is another from my dad's trip to Jacksonville. A caramel cream ale that works, but that just wasn't my bag. My downstairs--there is just kid shit everywhere.

'Nother Flo-rida offerings, this one a capable stout.

Next one comes from a little closer to home, and, while it is true to advertised form and I was happy to try, I'm also glad it was just a twelve ouncer. Probably going to switch to IPAs here soon. Go Steelers.

Did my hour on the treadmill, and am now enjoying my glass of juice. It's going to be a lazy kind of day. I hear there's a football game later today.

Morning, BA's and happy SB Sunday and Chinese New Year's eve - tomorrow starts the Year of the Monkey in the Chinese Lunar Calendar....will be cooking up some Asian dishes later in honor of my gf - who is Chinese (Taiwanese actually!)

In the meantime, enjoyed an early morning pre-dawn stroll around my neighborhood, and now some steel cut oats, cranberries and raisins,.....and oh well, some chocolate! Yum!

Going to get an extra long hike in today, as it is supposed to be near 50 and sunny, then reality returns Monday with some snow and colder temps in the forecast next week.....carpe diem, peeps!

Look, I understand that Dragon's Milk is not the paragon of all things barrel-aged for the lot of us. Still, it's readily available, consistent in its flavor profile, and inexpensive for what you're getting. Further, the taste is exactly what you expect it to taste like, which is to say that it is quite delicious!

Would I rather be drinking Black Gold? You bet your sweet beer-loving ass I would, but unless you're going to send me a few bottles then I don't mind cracking one of these from time to time.
