KBS Bottle Release

There is a problem, and it is us.

 

Have used the same card for multiple tickets three years and never have a problem. Founders has stated in the past that the card doesn't matter just that each ticket has a different name so I change the name, birthdate and cell phone number on the other tickets.

 

Wow, guess my friend got screwed.

 

Maybe it was the number that got him???

 

Does founders release KBS bottles at all at the Brewery after KBS week? Is it the same price? If so, is it a shit show to get bottles?

 

Got a ticket and hotel room for tuesday. Third year in a row driving from Atlanta and totally worth it. Always hit up 18th Street and Three Floyds as well. It is a really fun trip.

I don't know the specifics, but I know that in the past Founders has rather quietly released bottles for sale at the brewery post KBS week. A buddy of mine has gotten quite a bit this way. Don't know the price, but I understand it is not a shit show.

 

Girlfriend got a ticket and I didn't because too many tabs open. I guess 3 4-packs will have to do

 

My Grandma was willing to spend Thanksgiving in line for Bourbon County, so I'm not worried about her going to Founders for me on a random Tuesday. Plus she knows I'll put her in a home if she doesn't.

 

Usually a secret release pops up with all the unclaimed bottles. That's how I got my KBS the last 2 years. Do have to be quick though.

 

...but you need to be in the area. Last year I was on vacation so I was home & saw the tweet about bottles, hopped in my truck but an hour later (I live in Kzoo) they were gone

 

My wife and I both selected Saturday at about the same time. Her's went into a queue, mine just kept loading until it finally said I got a ticket. Her's said unavailable. Not complaining, though. Just an odd difference in experiences.

 

Got Tuesday, site was really lagging and took about 20 seconds for the payment page to load after clicking on "place order".

Eventbrite tix beat the heck out of standing in line. Definitely enjoyed standing in line at Oddside for Hipster and the bottle share at 4Elf for BB Plead, but still like the occasional luck of the draw that Founder's does with KBS. I'd like to find out how much money they raised for their charity with the ticket sales.

 

"Chance favors the prepared mind"

Did I deserve to get shutout last week when I drove 3 plus hours for Hazel Nuts, of course I did because there is no way that I'm getting up at 4 AM to go buy beer but I was prepared for this ticket sale. Even if I keep all nine that would be 1 KBS every three weeks for me and my son but we spread the wealth with friends that might never get to try KBS. I buy beer to drink and share not to trade and KBS is one of my favorites.

 

Sorry to those shut out. I had one browser, one laptop, refreshed the second my Macbook hit 11am, all days came up available, selected Friday, created a new account and placed my order in less than 3 minutes. Not rubbing it in at all but was surprised how easy it was. And that really sucks for those who didn't have it as easy.

 

The sense of entitlement rears its ugly head again, a particularly angry lot has decided to take their pitchforks and torches to Founders FB page. Last week it was Hazel's Nuts, this week KBS. No one got screwed, no one was entitled to a ticket, Founders owes you nothing but a thank you for buying their beer. KBS will be distributed and in the end it is just beer.

 

Used the Eventbrite app on iPhone. Re-freshed at 11, CC info was loaded from last year. Done and done for day #2
