From late last night: 2011 BCBS. It was incredible...

 

Pretty good. I actually preferred the Central Waters barrel aged barleywine more.

 

A delightful beer! Notes of pineapple and brett funk.

 

Like this a touch more than the Nugget Nectar. This is more citrus and tropical forward. Nugget Nectar was good, but i prefer this.

 

With that said, have you tried the barrel aged Behemoth?

Not yet but I've been on the lookout for it and would like to.

 

Found a six of Nugget Nectar bottles at the local grocery store. I can already taste the changing of this beer, it's not the same as what I had a few weeks ago , that crisp hop bite is starting to fade into a bit of caramel sweetness. It's still very good , but this will be my last go in the bottle, I'll grab some cans when I see them. Yep, I'm one of those, but what I'm craving now is the dry as a cracker finish of a Neshaminy Creek Trauger Pils to wash away the kind of sweetish NN. The Pils selection in town here kinda suck, there's not even a simple Prima Pils available.

 

That would be a more accurate comparison. Cheers....

Edit: Fair comparison is probably the better description. Behemoth is blonde and rather hop forward. Personally I like both because of their differences.

First of the day before the game.

 

Was hankering for something coffee this gloomy, cold Valentine's Day morning, this was all I could find in the stash. Sadly, this 2014 KBS just doesn't do much for me.

My furry Valentine. There are few things in life better than having a puppy sleeping under your chin!

Max is a total people dog, got to meet some new friends yesterday.

Personally, I am not a fan of this day. When you're in a relationship it kind of feels like a forced obligation like New Year's; if you're single, just a reminder that you're single! And, as my fellow singletons know, being single in our virtual age is a delight. I think this from Aziz Ansari pretty much nails it. Happy VD, BAs!

 

You have one adorable puppy. What more does one need? Less than two weeks until I'm in your shoes!

 

It's cold, it's snowing, it's before noon, and we got friends coming over later so it will be a long day of beer drinking. Gonna start with something smooth and easy. Pretty tasty too.
