I've come to find that I really enjoy bottles with a story of some sort on them. I think it's one of my favorite aspects of craft. For example, the story/description on Odin's Tipple pracially puts you into his shoes as you drink it. I think it adds a different dimension to drinking craft, what do you guys think? Do ya love a good read?

Absolutely. I don't understand why breweries wouldn't use the space to say something about the product. I especially like to see it with large format or limited bottles. Drank an Abraxas this weekend, and with such an interesting beer and so much space, Perennial didn't have anything to say about it. Stone, however, is great at telling a story.

I like to see it, as said above why not use the space. Stone does a great job of this and I would like to see it become common.

When I drink a Williams Bros. beer from Scotland (for example), a little narrative about what's in the bottle is incredibly appreciated. Otherwise, it doesn't matter much to me.

I generally don't like stories on the bottle. I do like breweries that have a detailed description of the beer, it's ingredients, and it's ABV/IBU's. So I like to see the space used wisely, but most of the time I just frankly don't give a shit about the stories. A little blurb about history if it's an old/traditional brewery is cool, though. But those fucking novellas on Stone's Stochasticity series are a big "no thanks" :grinning:

Doesn't help that Gregs stories don't make sense half the time. Maybe he gets really toasted before he writes em'. :stuck_out_tongue:

Why not, I like the humor. Some times I need a magnifying glass though.

Lagunitas always makes me laugh with their wrap around story on the fringe of the label. Might not be an entire story but it's enough to be informative and funny.

Lagunitas always has a interesting bit of words going around the label, not that I know what the hell any of it means but it is fun to be confused.

When I was a kid I read the cereal boxes, now I read beer labels. That's how I maintain my literacy.

Modern Times I feel does a good job with this, at least with describing their beers. They use words my young mind can get behind such as "hoppy", "dankness" , "cantankerous" and "blastwave" to name a few.

I enjoy Cigar City's short stories in their cans. They tend to explain the meaning of each beer's name and some history about the said name. Cool idea.

I honestly have no idea what he's talking about a lot of times but the ones that make sense are indeed amusing.

I really enjoy Wicked Weed's flavor text. Doesnt really go into a lot of detail about the brewing process, but it brings the awesome label art to life.
