DuClaw is a joke. Wait until you try their 'gose.' Scratch that, don't try their gose. You should read my review of it. Repulsive.

I was so excited to crack open my Cognac Jesus that I've been saving. Unfortunately, 2 sips was all I could tolerate. Absolutely disgusting. Looked online and there have been lots of infected bottles. $25 down the drain...

Evil Twin price point and consistency is making them easy to cross of my list.

Earlier today I dumped a bottle of Guinness. First time trying it and can't believe the reputation it has. Like drinking a flat diet coke with bacon grease dumped in it.

The fascination with his style kinda kinda confuse me. It low on abv and balance, and very high on the dry and painfully bitter. The reason it exists is to be able to drink more in theory , but it generally tastes awful mitigating the low abv.

My cousin who is just getting into craft beer brought me a Berkshire Brewing Company growler that he bought at the store. It's a 64oz growler that gets distribution throughout NE. I always passed it up assuming, and now verified, it was incredibly flat. Why would they distro a growler? It just doesn't make sense

Not exactly on topic, but is there somewhere here to pull up the beers with the worst scores?

Stone Enjoy After Brett. I realized I don't like Bretts. Tastes like a funeral parlor smells...

Brett can be really poorly utilized and totally destroy a decent beer.

Jester King El Cedro is a phenomenal showcase of using it in moderation, and to wonderful effect.

Somehow, it manages (I think), to make a multi-year old beer taste as though it was just hopped and poured from the fermenters yesterday.

Well don't feel burned on the trade at all. I had the beer fresh as can be and it was not all that great. In fact even with the date code being relatively fresh I found it suitable for the drain. Just not very good. The brewery and pub make fresher beer. But the other bottling facility seems to be testing the limits of yeast generations.

That of course is only speculation, but I tasted something unpleasant in several beers. To me it had hints of dead yeast. The hops were a secondary concern, I just couldn't enjoy the beer.
