512's IPA is one of our favorites, too. We're just happy to have Fire Eagle mentioned along side it.

I'm glad to have both available locally as they're very different beers and I might prefer theirs on certain days and ours on others. To me, 512's IPA is bigger, fuller, and more intense while I find Fire Eagle to be crisper and drier. I'd prefer Fire Eagle on a hot day, or when I'm having a couple in one sitting. I'd prefer 512's when I'm craving the hops.

In addition to making great beers, 512 are great people and they deserve all the praise.

Now that is a fantastic response. I actually agree with that on all counts.

Thank you. That reply tested very positively in our focus groups. The reply where we claimed 512 used bear urine their IPA did not fare nearly as well.

I think Austin Beerworks is my favorite brewery in TX after that comment. Bravo!

Huh. I would have thought it would be the other way. Live and learn.

Hey, Jester King are putting weasel poop coffee in their beer. Bear urine might not be such a stretch :stuck_out_tongue:

Flavor wise, I'll give the edge to 512, but the getting Fire Eagle in a can bumps them to the top overall. In that vein, though, Santa Fe Happy Camper is my favorite, but I often worry about the freshness of it. I know fire eagle is only a few weeks old, if that.

Please don't tell the 512 guys that y'all are moving up to my top spot.

    Classic!

it's hard to take 512 on a camping trip or to the dune for some dune riding. I always have my cooler full of ABW beers. All my buddies in Oklahoma dig ABW and always look forward to me coming up that way.
