    Arbor (Bristol, England) - Why Kick a Moo Cow - a 5.5% pale ale packed with flavour, based around some big, juicy New Zealand hops. Loads of mango, pineapple and that kind of tropical juice-esque stuff. Unfiltered for brilliance. Comes in cool pint (that is, UK pints, so roughly 568ml) bottles too.

    The White Hag - Beann Gulban 7.5% - an Irish Sour Heather Ale. It's really very much like an acidic red wine, but better, as in the acidity brings something to it rather than taking away. Very soft and fruity, with a crisp acidic finish.

    Last night I popped the swing top on the first pint of a batch of a home brewed dunkelweizen I had (slightly) upped the gravity on. Tasty! Like steak off of your own grill instead of at a restaurant, there's something about your own beer that satisfies the appetite.
