Bell's distro to California has been less than stellar thus far.
So, much to my surprise that my local BevMo had six packs of Hopslam IMHO the only Bell's that lives up to he hype. I am not a big IPA kind of a guy much rather have a stout, strong ale, or barley wine. There are a few IPA's I have enjoyed Citra Showers, Blind Pig, & The Elder. I drank this before I had any of those no that I know my pallet I can not wait for these cans to get nice and chilled. If you see and you're IPA grab some you'll certainly enjoy it.

I feel the same way about Bell's and the hype. The Two Hearted was a huge letdown. Hopslam is pretty good though. I had it on tap at Blue Palms last weekend and enjoyed it.

$19.99 for a 6 pack at Total Wine ... not worth that price IMO.

Not sure of the logic on this, but would be curious of your thoughts. My reflex is also, "6 packs are normally way cheaper. $20 is outrageous." But instead, this is a 10%, sought after, acclaimed IPA. 72 oz of it, neatly canned for freshness.

    72oz @ $20 in cans, would you pay $20 for a 64oz growler?
or if it were in 22oz bombers, that's closer to $6/bottle.

I bought a pack, killed it, and bought one more. It's not as memorable as it was in the past, probably because it didn't come in the mail and everyone's tastes are starting to shift, but I thought it was definitely worth the purchase.

When threads from east coast boys were saying two hearted was as good as pliny, I was stoked. Had my first draft of fresh. Had my second draft of fresh. Chuckled and knew I never needed to rush out for two hearted again here in Socal.

Guys, stop calling this aggressively hopped barleywine an IPA/DIPA.
