Since today is the Daytona 500 what city/brewery would you visit within 500 miles of your current location.

Mine would be Melvin Brewing in Jackson Hole Wyoming (277 miles away). Have read great things about their hoppy offerings, also wouldn't mind some world class snowboarding while I'm at it.

First thing that comes to mind that's a bit of a hike is Other Half, which is about 230 miles one way for me.

Probably Hill Farmstead (398 mi) but there's tons of great options.

it's a tad more at 552 miles to Denver but I'd have Big Bad Baptist on tap again

I guess since I've been to Jester King, next on my list would be to Prairie, which coincidentally is 467 miles from here.

I would say La Cumbre Brewing. It is 421 miles away but their beer is amazing. They keep saying they are coming to AZ but I got tired of holding my breath.

Toppling Goliath, 348 miles for me!

Within a 500 mile radius of where I live I can get to Houston (457 mi.), Austin (400 mi.), DFW (219 mi.), St. Louis (493 mi.), Kansas City (340 mi.) & Memphis (479 mi.). I'm sure I could find many, many things in any of those cities, or even cities in between, that would be well worth drinking. I would've thrown Albuquerque in there as well, but it's just outside the bubble @ 554 miles.

I've been to Surly, so at just past 500, I would love to go to New Glarus. It's 513, but that would totally work if there were a couple Green-White-Checkereds. BTW, what an awesome race today!

My final destination would be New Glarus. Along the way, I would stop at Founders, Brewery Vivant, Perrin's, Oddside Ales, New Holland, Bell's, Greenbush, Three Floyds, Goose Island and Pipeworks.

I was visiting my dad and happened to watch the last 10 laps which was the first time I'd ever watched nascar. I thought the had to do 500 laps then he clarified it's 500 miles which then inspired this thread.

Decorah, IA is 368 miles from my house, so Toppling Goliath it is. OR Munster, IN is 390. So maybe Three Floyds. It also appears Surly is just within my reach.

That's quite a large area  Includes the whole of the UK and Ireland and parts of France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway and Belgium, including Brussels. But for an interesting trip I'd go to the Faroe Islands as I haven't been there before and see what their beer is like  There appears to be two active breweries there

I'm choosing somewhere I haven't been (at least not for beer); Vermont is ALWAYS a good choice for me for a beer vacation, of course. However, Portland ME (310 miles) is somewhere I haven't been since I was a kid and is an obvious beer destination. Going the other way the North Carolina border is about 500 miles off and I've never been there except in the airport. Would also love to return to Montreal and do some drinking. Both Portland and Montreal are likely on the docket for roadtrips this year.

Trillium is 5 miles away. I'd spend the rest of the time I would have spent traveling drinking beer in front of the TV...
