Thank YOU, sir, both for your (overly) kind words and generous haul of New England goodies to try. Enjoy the rest of your trip, and come back and let us know what you liked. I always enjoy hearing what out-of-towners think of the central Ohio experience.

And I'm assuming you were pulling for the Bruins, but in the Blue Jackets defense, at least the game went to OT and you got to hear the cannon in person...

    Cheers!

I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of my stay on Columbus, and greatly benefited from the tips on this thread. We hit Wolf's Ridge on Wed. night--great beers and atmosphere at the bar, and we were served by the super knowledgeable and friendly Molly--a top highlight of the trip. I grabbed some fine Ohio beers at Weilands on Indianola on Thursday--great selection and service. The entire family hit the Hot Chicken Takeover on Thursday--wife declared it was the best fried chicken she's ever had...and I wouldn't disagree. Thursday night bro and I hit Hoof Hearted brewpub and Seventh Son for flights--Hoof Hearted was a bit of a young, hipster crowd for us, and I enjoyed but was not blown away with the beers I tried. We both enjoyed Seventh Son's beers ...but agreed that Wolf's Ridge was the best venue we tried.

Thanks to everyone for your kind tips. Please let me know if you are ever headed to Massachusetts and I'll return the favor.

Postscript-Despite missing our direct flight home and having to fly Columbus to Chicago to Providence, then drive to Logan to retrieve our luggage, the 23 bottles of Ohio beer all survived intact in my luggage--woo hoo!
