Triple Threat - NBS BIF #3

    Alrighty then, let's get this rolling! This version is dedicated to Stevie Ray Vaughn, so we're naming it after the band that eventually morphed into Double Trouble, The Triple Threat Revue. As usual, the primary goal of a NBS BIF is to hit your target with brews that are NBS eligible for them. Walezbro and rarities welcome, but not mandatory.

    Since we're nearing the end of February, how about a target date of Sunday, April 10 as the "share date on NBS? Gives everyone a month to shop, and a week to ship. Suggestions, corrections, and comments encouraged!

    Awesome. I need to keep an eye on my budget and my travel, but should be able to make this work. Looking forward to it.

    I'm going to go ahead and break the chain of sadness at 1* and throw my hat in the ring. Probably not the most financially sound move, but are you kidding me these things are a blast.

    I agree, April 10th should work well.

    Working backwards:
    • Shipping deadline of March 31st, and then only for those with 2-day expected shipping (if you have farther to go you should be sending no later than the beginning of that week); that way everything arrives by Saturday, April 2nd. This allows for a week of potential shipping delays to ensure everyone will have beer in-hand in time.
    • For a shipping deadline of 3/31, we need to close signups fairly quickly, let's say the end of the day on 2/29 (a full day after the upcoming NBS and the 2nd announcement therein).
    • @beertunes and I will make sure to get target assignments out by the end of that week, on March 5th. A short turn-around here means everyone needs to react quickly when asked for shipping information!

    While we're announcing intentions I'll go on the record that I am completely on the fence. I've been getting a LOT of heat from the wife to take a break, but these are pretty damn hard to resist. Perhaps I'll leave everyone (but my hypothetical sender) in the dark about my participation, just to make hint tracking a little more complicated :evil grin:

    Hey folks! I was in #1 but passed on #2. I might need to be brought up to speed again, so would we be doing a certain number of bottles, or ounces to the target?

    Details open for negotiation, but our guideline has been 66-72oz. This is 3-22oz bottles, or 6-12oz cans/bottles, or a combination. Fair notice, I don't think many folks stuck to that very carefully. There were some ridiculous boxes sent last time.

    We kept the oz limit low to encourage new/more folks to participate. It's open for discussion going forward.
