Drink it? I mean it's in the beer's best interest.

First off, I freakin' love the cold. As such, any environment I willingly live in that has a power outage is usually due to the cold. As such, I'm more concerned with keeping my beers from freezing rather than staying cold. Fortunately, I have many warming stouts on hand that help me stay warm and also reduce the amount of beers I have to nurse back to health  Rather unfortunately, we haven't had a SINGLE snow day this school year. I'm student teaching and praying every half hour for a snow day, and yet we've had about two inches of snow....

We're not a third world country, keep it dark keep the door closed it will stay cool for days, its Feb. power will be back on pretty quickly. If the storms are that bad where your at the beer might be the least of your worries, you could also ice it in coolers too. Weather forecast here is shitty too, Bourbon time.

worst case scenario: you become used to drinking beers at cellar temp.
    Relax its only beer.

My air conditioner died in summer 2015. My (mostly dark) beers that were stored in the dark at room temperature briefly got up to ambient Florida temp, 90F, before I moved them to another house. The overall results were not catastrophic (again, dark beers). But I do think some of my stuff aged excessively fast and maybe got a bit oxidized. Can't say for sure if the brief room temperatures were the cause. But I do think the general consensus of the community is that warmer temperatures cause faster aging. Since you're talking about IPAs, I would do as others have suggested and just don't open the door.

Drink them or put them on ice. Most should make it through ok by avoiding any excessive heat or lights..

I don't think they're worried about snow in Alabama.
More like tornados ripping through the area. Pretty serious stuff going on.

Yeah, we don't get enough snow in the South to know how to deal with it. But we don't usually get snow, we get ice. The big threat is tornados, and they are nothing to joke about.

Won't hurt them if they warm up for a bit while your power is out...now if you were fermenting a lager, that would be a whole different story

Your beer will be fine. It likely wasn't refrigerated after being canned at Bells or on trucks taking it down to AL.

Just drink it all. Seriously, I'm with the others. It'll be fine. Are you close to a (clean) stream or river? Worth dropping a few there to keep them cold.

Seeing as hops are a preservative I think that your Hopslam is going to be ok. I would begrudgingly drink it anyway.

Warm hopslam equals malt bomb and muted hops.....wait that's the same as cold hopslam.
