If you freeze to death during the overnight diurnal lows, rest assured we will sing songs, and maybe even compose epigraphs for your tombstone, in your memory. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten here...

No, but I've got a Pallet Jack!

    ...

See, Hand Truck and Pallet Jack are both names of beers from...look, nevermind.

This is going to be such a colossal clusterf*ck...

Since it's technically about beer, is there really anything worse in the world today than people who comment on instagram/facebook posts about beer releases and just tag their random friends that nobody cares about?

When I started reading this thread I thought I'd swing by after work Saturday and pick some up, at the end of page one I thought I'd swing by, but if I saw a line I'd keep driving, by the end of the thread I'd decided to not even bother. Thanks beer douches. Where was that BA KDS still on shelves??

Co-sign. Even as someone who has pretty much sworn off bottle releases with lines I've been looking forward to this release since a bartender at Holy Mountain told me about it a couple weeks ago. Now that I'm seeing the reaction here I'm thinking I'll skip it.

At least it's still possible to go to Holy Mountain and enjoy a low key couple of pints. When you look at other beloved breweries elsewhere it's easy to see it could be much worse.

    Seriously.

I keep telling myself it will be like the previous Saturday releases, but probably a bit better since they've separated draft sales from bottle sales. I guess we'll see.

It is what it is. There will be a line. We are going to do our best and make sure it's a good experience to the best of our ability. That's all I can promise. We always do that regardless of what's on tap or what we are going to release and our staff works their asses off in the front, and we work our asses off in the back.

The beer is not still. It's a big barrel aged stout. Carb isn't pumped up on it to the extreme. We cracked some bottles last night while we finished wax dipping, and it tasted great and are very happy with it. The carb is right where it needs to be for this beer. If you know us, we wouldn't let that happen or make excuses if it wasn't to our standards. Still = quiet, peaceful, dark. Still = liquour still. A couple of different meanings when we came up with the name. Always happy to talk about names and their meanings to us.

See some of you Saturday. Dont' camp.

Ever since comments have been disabled, the trade forums have become such a dumpster fire of heightened expectations. Not saying that trade would never happen, but I'm not optimistic.

I hate beer trading. It's one thing to share with friends in person but shipping beer to random strangers on the internet for that highly sought after beer is overkill. Not to mention you don't have any control over the quality while it sits in random warehouses/trucks in transit.

I love traveling and like to enjoy as much local beer while there and usually bring some home. If they don't have that hyped up beer while there, oh well, not gonna jump on the internet searching for it.

I'm planning on attending because I don't have anything going on and I'm curious to try this. Also, if you can I recommend carpooling or taking an alternative source of transportation BC parking can fill up very fast. I came 5 minutes before Phosphene began and was lucky to find a spot, like everybody else I was not expecting it to be that crazy.

Will there be a food truck?

Thanks for the info above. Your last few releases were very well managed/contained I thought. Could you tell us how many bottles will be available?

What is this "Holy Mountain doesn't have shelf beers" nonsense? You must not be looking in the right places. I've seen the white label saisons in multiple places, and brown label bottles like City of Light and Misere at a few as well. Check Pear downtown at the Market, or Central Co-op on Capitol Hill. Misere is sitting on the shelf there right next to de Garde Grand Blanc.

City of Light never made it out of the taproom for wholesale.

Yeah, carpooling, bussing, etc. is the way to go for sure.

We won't have a truck that day, but feel free to bring any food with you or order from a local place in the taproom.
