Had a box (I was the shipper) get destroyed in shipment. Around $50 of beer inside...Fed ex acknowledged it was their fault and sent me all the documents to file a claim. If I file a claim and state that there was beer inside, do I have any shot of actually getting my money refunded?
Yes, none. FedEx completely lost a package of mine that included BA Abraxas. I begged, pleaded, and then some since they "lost" it. Mistakenly told them it was beer as they were "searching through unlabeled boxes to find it". They denied claim on multiple occasions.
Couldn't you go the eBay route and claim they were collectible bottles? Or is it that as soon as you admit it's beer, you lose?
Can't speak to FedEx, but UPS did nothing for me on a lost box. I just like to imagine that the beers inside found a home that they truly deserved...
