Going up to Night Shift tomorrow for the first time, plans to bring between 1.5 and 2 cases of cans back to CT with me so I dont have to go beer shopping for a loooooong time.

...But I can't for the life of me find any pricing information other than them saying they take $6 off the price of a mixed case (found on a recent instagram post).

Does anyone know what the prices of their 4-packs are? Are they all the same price or does it vary by style?

I am specifically interested in the prices of (if you dont want to list out prices for everything):
    -Whirlpool 4-Packs
    -Santilli 4-Packs
    -The 87 4-Packs
    -Morph 4-packs

    Thanks in advance! Cheers!

@masterob8 Can tell you definitively, but I think everything is $14 per four-pack, before the discount. Not sure if The 87 is a bit more

Great to hear you are stopping by. Beer prices are below:

    Whirlpool 4-Packs - $14
    -Santilli 4-Packs - $14
    -The 87 4-Packs - $16
    -Morph 4-packs - $14

Basically if you get a case, we take $1 off per 4-pack, so minus $6 per case. Hope you enjoy your visit! Cheers!

    Is Furth $14 too?

Yes, all 4-packs are $14 (Whirlpool, Santilli, Morph, Awake, Trifecta, Furth) except The 87 which is $16.

Slightly off topic, but @masterob8, can you point me toward a show in the Coolidge Corner area that sells Night Shift cans? I've been buying Morph and Whirlpool from my local store for my office's social events, and my co-workers love them. One of them asked where she could buy cans in the Coolidge Corner area, but I didn't have any suggestions.

Not to bash on Nightshift, but I have found their cans cheaper at stores than at the brewery. So there's that.

That's not unheard of. Brewers will do that to avoid undercutting stores. Jack's Abby does that same thing.

Pfft. Brewers do it because they like to make a buck. No store is going to stop carrying their product because a brewery undercuts them by a dollar.

And yes, with a few exceptions, breweries are usually just about the most expensive places to buy beer.

Btw, props to NSB for being forthcoming with prices here when norm in the beer/alcohol world seems to be to obfuscate prices as much as possible.

Saturdays at Night Shift are insane now with lines out the door just to get in. Hopefully after the expansion it will once again be possible to take the orange line out there on a saturday afternoon for a chill day of good beer and games.

Nothing to add except the 2/16 batch of Morph (Idaho 7, Galaxy, & Simcoe hops) is delicious! Probably my favorite that I have tried. If it was a regular offering I'd be super stoked, glad I grabbed more than a few 4/pks!

Damn, didn't know this was the case. So you're telling me it will not be the low-key time I told my wife it would be with our 2 year old? Was thinking of heading there around 2.

I think the closest spot is Brookline Liquor Mart that carries cans.

Yes, it is possible to find our cans at stores for cheaper than what we sell at the taproom. It is also possible to find them more expensive. It all depends on the store, how they do their markups, and if they want it to be more of a loss leader/promotional.

@emannths - I feel like you copy and paste the same complaint into every taproom/brewery thread.

We don't charge more to make an extra buck. That's absurd. We charge what is the standard markup for the industry and this keeps a level playing field for our retail partners and us. If a store wants a smaller mark up that is their choice. It is not legal for us to set retail prices, nor even suggest a retail price.

Also, what gets ignored is that it is not free to run a taproom. We have the same costs as any bar and any liquor store. There are utility bills, insurance, maintenance, staff, etc. Our taproom employees just over 20 people who get paid, have benefits, etc. So that is a very real and significant cost. We aren't getting rich simply by charging an extra buck because fuck it, why not. That money goes to pay for everything that makes the taproom possible.

Hell, we spend close to $1,000 a month on toilet paper in our taproom. If that's not a shitty way to spend the "extra buck" I don't know what is.

We took our four-week-old son there right after open three weeks ago (think 12:15 p.m.), and we were fine for half an hour (just wanted to grab a beer on tap and load up on cans). But by the time I closed my tab about 12:45 p.m. or 1 p.m., it was starting to get very busy.

I've had good luck going in and out right around open, but I find it starts to get very busy around the time you're thinking of heading there... just my two cents though. Maybe others have had a different experience.

Yes, we keep our taproom pretty well stocked with cans. Shouldn't run out of anything.
We can't wait for the expansion. Should give us around 80 more seats and room for 150 more people. We also can't wait to expand the patio this spring/summer.

2pm is just when things start to peak. Then its usually slammed for the next 3-4 plus hours. Kids are more than welcome and there is usually a bunch here. But don't expect 2pm to be low key. Come earlier on Saturday or come on Sunday or during the week. (although this Sunday will be crazy with the Lechedor release).
