Tasting awesome as always, one of my main go-to IPAs. Flavors of big bright grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange rind, pine, and spicy/floral hops; with light caramel/bready malt balance; and a smooth/sticky hop mouthfeel and dry finish. Always love this stuff. Last of the latest 6 pack, will get more soon enough.


Outstanding IPA. Big bright flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange rind, light pepper, and pine hop/fruit notes; with some light caramel/toasted bready malt and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Good sized pine/rind/spicy bitterness; with a dry and sticky mouthfeel with a touch of grainy creaminess. Lasting hop and citrus oils on the finish; with no bitter astringency. Glad this is year round, almost finished this 6 pack.


This is amazing as usual. Big flavors of cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, ginger, clove, vanilla, coffee, and cream spice; with balanced milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toast, and dark bread malt sweetness; with some herbal/spice earthiness. Light-moderate herbal spice/roast bitterness; with a bittersweet balanced finish with a fantastic creamy/silky medium-full body with some slight sticky/chalky notes from the spice and roast malts. Very smooth sipping with a small lingering warmth of alcohol. I wouldn't put it over regular Bomb!, but it's close. Glad I have a couple more of these left, I grabbed as much as I could find after I initially reviewed it last month. Will definitely be looking forward to this later on this year, even if they change the spice profile again for 2016.


Always world class. Huge flavors of caramel, toffee, brown bread, molasses, light chocolate, raisin, plum, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, and coconut. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness against the sweetness. Very smooth sipping with a creamy/slick mouthfeel and finish. Low alcohol warming on the finish for 12%.The malt and barrel balance/integration is amazing. This was the last bottle of the 4 pack I bought last year, but I just got another one last week.

Morning, BA's and happy last Sunday of February.....the vernal equinox (i.e. spring!!) arrives 3 weeks from today, and I am psyched! Even though our winter here has been very mild, always look forward to the re-birth that spring brings.....

Standing outside next to my lake, watching the sunrise, is always a special weekend pleasure.....hearing all sorts of geese, ducks, and gulls whirling overhead and in the water, and the sound of woodpeckers drumming, red-winged blackbirds calling in nearby swaying cattails.....love it!

Thanks again to @LeperJim and @WesMantooth for hosting yesterday's Dogfish Day of Winter. I heard TMZ is going to report Aunt HelenMantooth was seen at multiple locations throughout our beautiful country yesterday, sometimes simultaneously.

Anyways, to the topic at hand, the man said he liked it so much for breakfast, he had one more for dessert. Amen to that, BAs! (edited post to show yes, two empty bottles).

A pretty uneventful night with the new pup is worthy of a morning beer. There was only one hiccup at 2:30 where she had a spark of energy and needed some playtime. We went out, ran around the driveway and it was back to sleep for a couple more hours. Time to whip up some breakfast and contemplate my NBS choice.

I intended to participate in Dogfish Day yesterday and was saving this bottle of Immort Ale as my closer but I fell asleep watching reruns of The Twilight Zone and missed the fun. Making amends.
