The neighbors and neighborhood have every right to get annoyed and pissed about people drinking and leaving in front of the apartments.

Yes hence why people in line need to "bitch people out" so the neighbors don't get mad.

Tell that to the two people who would not have otherwise been shut out. You get the point.m I think you're just being stubborn.

Public drinking is not something new in this world. Just don't act like a fucking idiot and clean up after yourself and it's all good. I drink in line with my buddies and we clean up after ourselves.

At Streen Green release five or six people cut in front of us that we saw. The only way to stop it is to have somebody out there policing the line. And that sure shit is not happening.

All the more reason why I don't go to things like this.

First of all, there's no need to curse at me. I'm not bitching, I'm giving my opinion after reading through the thread. This kind of behavior irritates me, not just beer releases. I would go to more of these releases if they weren't like this.

Exactly! The bad behavior exhibited by people at these releases keeps people who away who don't act like assholes and break the law. Many of the people who act like d-bags will be the first people to abandon ship when the next hot brewery opens up closer to home. They could give a shit about other patrons, Other Half owners and workers and people who live in the neighborhood. When the jig is up they will just move on and drop OH like a hot potato. Hence they could care less about drinking on a public street at 6:30 in the morning, cutting line, leaving garbage and parking their cars with they should not.

God forbid you can't get drunk on line at 8am and cut people who got there hours before you just so you can make a few trades. Damn "millenials" and their consideration for others...what a joke

NIMBYs are people who don't want a Starbucks in their previously trendy neighborhood or a waste transfer station or a homeless shelter or a high rise condo, etc. People who complain about public drinking, trash and d-bags defacing their neighborhood I would call just people. I think only college kids would put up with that.

Tbh i don't know why we need to start a new thread every month. Just start one and let it go until it needs to be closed. Then we'll get a new one because we broke the last one!

I guess I just get used to @Kanger starting one each month. Haha. Feels right. But yeah, you have a point.

I tend to like the monthly threads when it comes to searching. It's much easier to browse through 10-15 pages as opposed to nearly 70 pages (Grimm thread)

The original OH thread lasted for well over a year, then things got pretty hairy so it was closed. Hence the birth of the monthly OH thread. This one about to run its course , March will be here soon and everybody can get back to speculating when they should get on line for next release.

Yeah it wasn't up to me. After the original thread got shut down, people mentioned that it should be a monthly thread like many of the other brewery threads on BA. Not that it stops arguments though! ha!

Craft beer has given people the excuse to drink in line at 7am and feed their alcoholism

I think one reason they don't do it this way is because they have very limited cooler space. They want to get rid of everything day of.
