Sweet. Some solid beers that I've missed one way or another.

Though @Oneeighthcuban what's up with no list :slight_frown:

I wasn't 100% sure what we were bringing. It will be weeliam Wallace, Canadian lunch stout, Isaac the fax man, and safe lady pb stout.

I'm surprised there are no reviews of Winterfest so far. I tried a lot of the BA stouts and the winners for me were BA Darkness, Canadian Lunch Stout, Dark Knight Returns, and Czar Jack. ET Wee was very good too.

Overall the events was really good. Lots of options to drink. Hardly a line in sight. The food was decent though not spectacular. I don't fully understand the hate towards it being over two nights and getting half the breweries. The main core of great breweries are there both nights and honestly you could drink well and get a great mix just from them. I didn't even make a dent in the number of other breweries that were there.
BA Darkness is so good. I was disappointed in Dark Knight Returns. Was really surprised it won best beer. Just did nothing for me. Whiskey Queen was delicious. DSDB was delicious though the cherry was a miss.

I actually enjoyed the Cherry DSDB. It wasn't great by any means and I know it was a bit sweet for some, but it reminded me of German Black Forest Cake, but beer - which I could see why people might not like. I thought it was interesting though.

I had similar opinions on Dark Knight Returns. I was pretty surprised when that won best beer too. Overall, my wife and I had a great time and we just went the one night. I don't feel like we missed out on anything doing it that way either.

The fellas at Junkyard really impressed me with some strong offerings Friday night.

Ok - I lied. I guess there was one thing I felt I may have missed out on only going Saturday

Steel Toe did bring Before the Dawn which wasn't in the Winterfest program.

BADSDB was probably my favorite, returned for multiple pours. I feel like the cherry muted a lot of the great coffee and vanilla . But others loved it. Raspbery Roselle was nice, would like to see more fruited sours from FSB. Never had to wait more than a person or 2 for a pour. Good event overall

Agreed, they were probably the only brewery where I went through the entire lineup. I ended up having to miss Saturday night but I'm hoping these guys are at least on the radar to be there both nights next year. They showed more promise and put forth a better effort than some of the others that were there for both nights.
