Oh yeah, since people mentioned Mirror, Mirror, of course another is The Abyss. I personally find it way more interesting than the normal imperial / BBA imperial stouts because of the wine character.

    Some of my favorites:

    Saison du Fermier
    Blanc de Blanc
    Love Buzz
    Bottleworks XII

Also, most authentic Belgian lambics and gueuzes are, I believe, aged in used wine barrels. Same with places like de Garde, Side Project, and others I'm forgetting.

Not impossible to get at all. Requires finding someone who'd trade $4$ and is close to RR. It's on the shelf right now...

I know! Just saying it's not like he can walk to his nearest bottle shop and pick up a few. Needs a bit more leg work.

Deschutes has more or less mastered this IMO

If I'm remembering right the "Phantom" one was Phantom Ship, which was a barrel-aged tripel (so probably exactly the one you're thinking of.)

Haven't had that many, but I really enjoyed two offerings from Victory: White Monkey and Red Thunder.

My favorites are from Hill Farmstead (Biere de Norma being a personal favorite)
That said other offerings to consider
    Mystic brewing
La Trou Du Diable from Quebec,
Mikkeller, I know the pricing can be tough

    Cheers

Almanac makes nice wine barrel aged sours, IMO. I believe the majority are white wine barrels.

School of Certain Victory from Modern Times was fantastic, but this was very limited I believe. Thinking about trading for a bottle myself though! It was a white wine barrel aged sour saison with apricots.

Russian River for sure, I think all of their sours are barrel aged on Napa wine barrels

Thanks everyone! Ive seen the Nebraska stuff before but as mentioned, it was pricey, so I left it on the shelf. Now I will grab some! I have a supplication and consecration in the cellar now. No doubt they will be mind blowing but I'm looking for stuff I can readily grab off the shelf in NJ or at least when released if not year round.

Best one I have had yet was Juicy (batch 2) but I know I won't get that again! It smelled like a wine barrel and was awesome. If I need my fix on an oak aged sour I guess I can always go grab a Rodenbach. That never dissapoints!

Rosso e Marrone by Captain Lawrence is pretty incredible. I'll also second Love buzz and some of the Almanac and Avery offerings

La Trappe Oak-aged quad is often partly aged in wine barrels, depending on the batch - the last time I had it, there was a heavy cab sauv flavor and texture to it.

Since no one's mentioned it yet...

De Dolle Brouwers Oerbier Special Reserva is a fantastic Oud Bruin aged for 18 months in Bordeaux wine casks. Comically underrated, unbelievably delicious. Ages amazingly as well.

3 Fonteinen Zenne Y Frontera was brewed with the expressed purpose of "bridging the gap between wine and beer" and was quite phenomenal as well (in terms of both taste and price). Probably a little harder to acquire than OSR.

Hm, I dont like most beer with brett but the wine barrel aging might counteract my distaste for it.
