So is the Nelson you get in a growler from the tasting room (old pub) brewed by Green Flash, or Alpine? Regardless, I really couldn't tell any difference between it, and the Nelson I used to get before the GF acquisition, so if GF is brewing it, well done.

Unfortunately, all the other Nelson I've had that I'm guessing must be GF, even including a bottle I also got from the tasting room and a Nelson pint from the new pub down the road, has tasted nowhere near as good. Makes me wonder if it's a freshness thing, because I don't know why the Alpine pub would have kegs that are different from what's being used to fill growlers just up the street.

As stated, Nelson, Hoppy Birthday, Pure Hoppiness, and Duet is all GF brewed. Regardless of location you pick it up at.

The "new" Alpine beers (brewed at Alpine) are really good. Worth the drive.

I just cracked a 12 oz Pure Hoppiness. Comical. I will never buy this beer again.

Well that was a 3 month old DIPA, that's not giving it a fair chance.

We all know that you can't put a 2 week best by date. Which is really the prime spot for happy beers

Pint of Alpine/Fieldwork (Alex Tweet) Relative Hoppiness at O'Brien's today is the best DIPA I've had in a long time. I think it is technically a Fieldwork beer, so guessing no growler fills at Alpine.

No Nelson?! What does that mean??? Let the speculation begin!
That Fieldwork/Alpine beer sounds worth seeking, is it available at the pub?

Probably don't have the hops to brew it, there's a huge shortage of Nelson Sauvin right now.

I believe it was already mentioned that their hop contract ran out somewhere within the last three weeks and it could be a while before a return. But....I could be wrong. It happens.

I figured that's what that was, the hop shortage, but figured it wouldn't happen so soon. Need to stock up on whatever Nelson is still around.

Info up on Alpine Instagram page for release of Dark Elixir: BA Imperial Porter with sour cherries. Love the pre-built hype: "Prepare to camp out this Sunday." lol

I remember when Alpine was Alpine. Also saw that GF is about ready to release 6 packs of Alpine Ale.
