Kiwi Herman was a supreme letdown and Great wasn't even good. Oh well.

 

I have a couple of bottles of BA Token* in case anyone is interested.

Really? I thought it was fantastic (although I guess it depends on what was traded for it).

 

Didn't have to trade, bought 2 on release day. I opened one fresh and thought it was just okay. It was pretty basic, I suppose? Had another a few months later and thought it actually got worse.

 

I had a couple that day at the pub and really enjoyed it - I thought the fruit came through pretty well. I gave one bottle away and still have one. Sounds like I might have sat on it a little too long.

 

I had a few on draft that day as well. It got me really excited for the bottled beer because I feel any sour beer is much better out of the bottle. This may have been the exception.

 

Not really understanding the anger behind Alpine telling people be prepared to camp. I felt like it was more of a warning. You know how crazy people go for BA beers these days.

Had one last month and it was really tasty.

 

So I'm not the only one who thinks this is probably infected? ha

 

I believe they didn't like their experience when they used BPT for Kiwi Herman. Rather push the hype and encourage lines I guess...

 

Drive all the way out to Alpine as we slowly sell bottles and fill growlers while waiting in line for 2 1/2 hours. Be more considerate to your customers and BPT. It's time. Enough of this stupid crap. It's so avoidable and ridiculous

 

They sold Expo via BPT in 2014. Guess they didn't like it.

 

Oh, you mean the time where you could pick up your bottles in a certain window without the lines and chaos? They complained about having to store the bottles and it took up to much room.

 

If you're going to do a brewery only bottle release, at least have a system in place to be able to process those standing in line in a timely manner. The fact that it took 30 minutes to process the 12-15 people ahead of me to get Expo bottles is just poor planning. I wasn't there for Great, but I'm sure it was equally inefficient.

 

Storing bottles for what a week? The pickup window was not very long.

 

I read "sour cherries" and my mind went straight to guessing they were trying to cover up an infection. It's tart because we "intentionally" used sour cherries.

I think it is a sour based on what I read on Facebook.
