BA Hammered Satin is limit 1. Not sure what the current count of beer friends is. But I think we're looking at sub 250 available for the public? Get your f5 fingers ready

And yet on the event page it let me add two bottles to my cart. I wonder if I'm going to wind up getting a partial refund and one less bottle :slight_frown:

I assume you guys are talking about the "beer friends" pre-sale? When is public?

2 Proxies per person are allowed, just email [email protected] with at least 24 hours notice providing both the purchaser and proxies names.

Did they release those beers today? I didn't see any notification on FB.

Maxed hard. Give me all the HPB. (Only let me get 1 bottle of Hammered Satin, though.)

Guess Parrots b2 got bumped to be lumped together with Help Yourself. Hell, BA Hammered Satin.. this is going to be one crazy F5 for non-beer friends. If all BF max out, that'll be under 200 bottle count for public.

This may be a question that has been asked before, but can beer friends also buy during the public sale?

    We don't talk about that...

But since you just blew up that spot. It was something Bob had sort of didn't intend for, but since there wasn't anything specifically stating folks couldn't, you could purchase another during the public sale. He said that until he puts in proper wording/phrasing, then I guess technically yes.

Certainly this has been asked before, but how does one become a beer friend? Is it just by buying a certain amount, or is it actually hand selected by Bob & co.?

both at the same time. They pick the people based on spending (from what I remember seeing)

I thought about posing this question during the lull between Lazy Susan "friends" and "public" releases. It's definitely a gray area that needs addressing. As much as I *wanted* to max out on the public Lazy Susan sale day I thought better of it and instead I just got the word out amongst out of state friends and let them use me as a proxy.

Maybe the fact we don't milk this loophole is why some of us have been welcomed into Beer Friends?

Sure is tempting for another BA Hammered Satin though haha.

I basically push HPB on friends. A few of which are now beer friends based on past purchases.

As to how to be a Beer Friend. It's not just spending. Not all Beer Friends max out. In fact, they recently added more folks because they found the first wave weren't maxing out. One release only had about 60% of the beer friends allotted amount be purchased.

So there's two factors, Consistency of purchasing things as well as amount purchased. Both are not tied together and both factor in. So you really don't have to max everything to get in whenever they next assets new folks and it's just supporting them.

Does sheer love for them and everything they represent count? Cuz I have that in spades. I love their beers. I love their food. I love the Hermosillo. I just wish I lived closer.

I've taken part in nearly every bottle pre-release sale they've had in the past year or so, but I rarely max out on stuff (not because I don't want to but because of $$$).

I am just so impressed with the fact that a brewery added customers to a list because they were frequent and dedicated buyers without having to buy into anything official. It rewards customers with loyalty to the brewery by exhibiting loyalty to the customers. Happy to be a beer friend and so very happy that HPB is less than a ten minute trip from home.
