    Hey guys,

What should I hit upwhile I am in Austin? I will be going there for work again and could use some expert advice. Last time I stumbled upon Which Craft the store, which was decent, and I went to the ABGB, but I feel like there has to be some hidden gems I don't know about. Is there anywhere that really has hoppy, juicy IPAs figured out?

I will be there from March 2nd through March 7th if that effects anything at all.

    Thanks in advance!

I also manage a shop. If you're interested, DM me and I'll give you some info. That is if you want to have bottles for your room, to take back, etc.

Pinthouse Pizza South or the North location on Burnet is your best bet for IPAs imho. They brew their own beers.

    Use the search bar.

Draught House, Craft Pride, Bangers, Hopfields for bars.

Hops & Grains, Austin Beerworks, Jester King, Live Oak, Pinthouse for breweries/brewpubs

Second Pinthouse Pizza for "juicy" IPAs. Those guys are wizards with that style.

I'm partial to Wright Bros. Brew and Brew, location and vibe are good and the selection is always fresh

We don't have "clusters" like you find in Portland, Denver, Seattle, etc.

But, there are some that are walkable.

Blue Owl to Hops and Grain and down to Zilker are all doable. It will be a bit of a walk, but it is not a bad walk by any means.

Then you have Circle, 4th Tap, Adelbert's and Austin Beerworks in a somewhat cluster (likely a 1.5-2 mile walk to include all of them).

You could catch the metrorail from downtown, stop at black star coop at one stop, and then get off at circle (next stop down) to include one more brewery.

But, if you are up in the circle/4th tap/ABW/Adels area, after ABW, you can catch a bus down burnet and it has a stop near Pinthouse Pizza. Then from there, you can walk to Draughthouse (or ride the bus another couple of stops down) and check out their beer. From there, the bus I believe goes back to downtown.

There is also another cluster near Jester King with Thirsty Planet and Last Stand. However, they aren't exactly walkable.

Here is a map all of them.

Just popping in to say thanks for all of the suggestions!

I was at the mercy of a work schedule, so I couldn't get out much and was limited to whatever was on tap where I went. I didn't find time to go everywhere that I wanted, but I did finally have some good IPAs here (last summer was a pretty big let down).

    Highlights include:
    - Lone Pint Yellow Rose: very good all around IPA, could drink a lot of these
    - Pinthouse Pizza Electric Jellyfish: very juicy, my personal favorite of the trip, really wish I could've had more of their beer
    - Hops & Grain A Pale Mosaic: technically a Pale Ale but basically an IPA in flavor, it hung with Mosaic Promise when I had both back to back
    - Eastciders Hopped Cider: this is basically a beer/cider hybrid; very unique taste, not for everyone though

Back to MN I go! Cheers!
