Has anyone tried the most recent batch of Green Diamonds? Wondering if it improved as much as the most recent AGE.

I hope so! The 2/12 AGE run was fantastic... drank my last can yesterday.

That mosaic batch is probably still very green giving it a week would probably do it justice

Having citra side by side with mosaic and president at the brewery, think it's definitely superior. Soft and fruity and hazy.

if someone took off the citra label on the can, and put a mosaic one, i would be none the wiser. this citra batch is as good as the last mosaic canned batch.

Drinking the new batch of GD now and really enjoying it. Super smooth with no hint of the 9.1% abv.

How does the centrifugal filter changes beer? From what I understand, it increases yield but doesn't necessarily change taste.

Tried some today. A little sweeter than I remember it being. Not sure if it's this particular batch or if my palette is skewed by the latest AGE batch. Still a very solid beer and the 9.1% is very well hidden.

"Soft" is never an adjective I want to describe an IPA. Abrasive is better. Sick of these recent IPA descriptions.

Both have their merits. I prefer citra, amarillo, mosaic, and the usual suspects from New Zealand to be expressed in a juicier, less palate-wrecking manner. Simcoe, centennial, etc lend themselves to be more piney and in your face abrasive. All a matter of personal preference I suppose.

style also plays a role, some of the new england style ipa's will leave all the hop additions towards the end/ dry hopping leading to a less bitter softer finish where west coast ipas tend to be more aggressive

Found a hidden can of Oat Overdose in my fridge and 7 weeks out it was still tasting really good.

Looks like theyre doing a collaborative between modern times and Kent falls brewing via their instagram. Not sure where this collaboration will be put out but it sounds interesting

They're in San Diego now so I'm guessing it won't be here. Maybe Modern Times will come here to brew a collab too though - that would be great.

I don't share your enthusiasm for their beers. I'm actually hoping OH will teach them a thing or two.

Well they can only get better! I've honestly only had 3 of their beers that I got in a trade 3 years ago but thought blazing world was one of the best beers I've ever had.

I had Mosaic IPA and Mosaic Is President yesterday at the brewery. As many have reported, Mosaic IPA is dry and abrasive, not fruity. I asked someone at OH, and he confirmed that this batch is different from last year's, owing to variation in the hop harvest. He also agreed that last year's was better. On the other hand, Mosaic Is President was good. It tasted like bananas, not too different than Lambo Door. I didn't get a lot of brett.
