Alpine? No IPA no care, slept in this morning. Wait in line or stay in bed.

Here at the pub drinking it now. Didn't care for bottles but it's on tap.

Man, this is a full blown sour. All you taste is sour/cherries. No bourbon, barrel, anything.

This is bad... They should have let us try it before buying. Regret my purchase now.

This thread (more specifically today's release) just got that Michael Jackson song stuck in my head...They don't really care about us... Enjoy that for the rest of your Sunday.

My total for three came to $55.23 with tax and CRV. They are 500ml bottles. I just got the bottles and have not tried it on tap, but will go back today.

I had it and enjoyed it a lot, the barrel comes through at the finish, not sure why all the hate just don't buy it or taste it before like I did. Cover up or not it still taste great well to me.

It's a common perception right now that these are "unintentional sours" or "infected stouts." To each his own, but even if they've been intentionally brewed to be sour stouts, I just haven't been a big fan of most of them.

I live in Alpine and consider myself an Alpine homer. I don't post any negative stuff about Alpine, but read every post in this thread. This beer was just atrocious. I got turpentine, glue paste (whatever the name of the glue that we used in elementary with the screw cap and brush) and overwhelming oaky barrel. I regret waiting in line for my three bottles (even if it was for only a tad over an hour). I had this on draft and would have not finished it if it was a taster, but it was a 12-oz. pour, so I felt obligated to. After picking up my bottles earlier, I was at the tasting room for about three hours and there were still plenty of of bottles of the stuff left when I left.

I literally forced myself to finish it by downing it(which resulted in a pretty crapy stomach ache thanks to the massive amounts of lacto they dumped into this beer).

I honestly do not know how anyone would enjoy this beer. It was disgraceful and shame on alpine for honestly bolting this piece of shit. This is a batch that should have been dumped. But hey, this is a beer community and if you enjoyed it then good for you. That's the great thing about beer. Everyone has their opinions.

Is this the beer that's been taking up barrel space since Kiwi Herman?

Hey, I remember when Chez Monieux was released. Were they spot-on with that name or what? Released around the same time as BA Token and BA Odin to friggin boot. Never went down to Alpine for a non-IPA after those debacles.

It will be the same thing on draft at the Green Flash location. Even though I live 5 minutes from GF I still go down to Alpine to fill growlers of the normal stuff.

general disgust for GF. This is my attempt at giving them the finger. It doesn't make sense since I spend more time and effort, but if everything I did made sense it would be weird.
