Never too early to start to line up in person traded....has anyone seen a Google spreadsheet set up yet? I remember there was one last year and it was great.

I got a Polar Bear Backpack for last year's DLD and it worked amazingly well and was comfortable to wear all day. It's not cheap (Think I got mine for 80 on Amazon), but very well made and durable. It's gotten heavy use since then with no visible wear/tear and is ready to go to work at this year's DLD

Anyone know if they'll be selling vintage bottles this year? I know last year they had a mix up and couldn't but didn't hear anything about this year. From what I remember every other year but last year they did so.

Be a lot cooler if they did.

They did in 2014, and 2010. Those are the only years I recall them selling vintage bottles. But I could be wrong.

They said there won't be any packaged beer for sale this year, just pick up your dark lord bottles and pick your variant. I have a feeling we won't see FFF beer to go at future DLDs, it sounds like their event license last year did not allow for it so I would expect that to continue.

Yeah, kinda sucks. I wonder why the event license changed.

As said above, there will be no package sales of beers other than Dark lord this year. However, last year they sold bottles of 2014 Dark Lord a few days before the event in their regular to go store. I would keep an eye on their website if you are in the area beforehand.

It was weird because I got through on my laptop shortly after noon the first time by selecting Session B and 2 tickets. When I got through it only gave me 1 ticket so I bought it.

Then, right after that, I had left my iPad up when I selected 2 tickets for group C and got through on that but it only gave me 1 ticket again so I called my cousin and took his info down to buy him the ticket.

I knew another friend trying and around maybe 12:30 I got through again for Group D and one ticket. I called him and got his info as well. I don't know why I was never able to get 2 tickets yet I got through 3 times.

I can second this. I bought this guy for last year's DLD. I LOVE it! It's pricey, but I'm so happy I pulled the trigger.

That's funny. I was actually going to say that the space in there is deceiving. It held way more than I needed last year. My back was actually aching!

You just needed to drink those heavy bombers faster!. I probably didn't pack it very smartly so glad I get another try this year. Group C!

As an alternative to spending cash for a backpack cooler, I've successfully used a Swiss Gear computer backpack for the past few years. No need to overthink it - just put a few frozen bottles of water between the bottles in the backpack (and protect the bombers with a tube sock) and they'll keep perfect. Then, as you drink the bottles and dispose of them over time, space frees up and you can safely store your DL haul. My backpack easily fits six bombers; more if I cram but I figure six bombers is enough to share.

Last year 2014 DL and Portuguese Brandy DL was available at the brewery the day before. Line was a couple hours long when they opened. I think they tweeted it out or updated the tap list and it was a mad dash to the line.

How's the parking situation? I'm thinking of flying into O'Hare by 8am Saturday, renting a car and driving down.

Not great, but not terrible. There's a giant lot a few blocks away that's like $20 or so. If you arrive early enough, you could probably park in the industrial park that will be around $20-$30 also.
