Triple Threat - NBS BIF #3

Just picked up something sour and somethings hoppy for my target who's state quarter was released within the past 15 years.

 

Hint #3 My target's area has seen it snow at least once since the year 2000.

 

I've seen it snow at least twice since this morning.

 

I qualify, but I think a lot of us do. Still on my list of possibilities.

 

Hint # 4 (probably the last of the day)

My target lives in a state that is well to the east of me, but well to the west of others.

 

Hint 1.5 I am not originally from California

 

...and I'm out on this one as well.
(At least hint #1. Haven't looked it up but Minnesota is properly large, almost certainly bigger than Washington).

 

Welp, no NHL teams in New Mexico. But I think I'd already ruled you out.

Note to other BIFers: Any hints about professional sports teams will automatically rule out New Mexico. Haha.

 

And New Hampshire too!

Well, today I've been mainly throwing out sports related hints due to posts earlier today. Trust me, I've got lots of non-sports hints just waiting in the wings, and anticipate more once I've got a handle on my target's exact location.

For me, the creating and analyzing of hints are one of the most fun parts of doing this (Well, not as fun as actually drinking awesome beers that I haven't had before. Nothing like fun that is also tasty).

 

Hahaha. Such a stickler. First trying to convince me the Rio Grande is a major body of water and then trying to convince me the Topes are a professional team. How about this: along with an exchange of our respective state's beers, we exchange the Pacific Ocean for the Rio Grande and the Mariners for the Topes. Wait. Scratch that. Seahawks for the Topes. haha.

 

Hint # 4 (Keeping with the sports theme)
My targets state hosts at least one minor league baseball team.

 

I would use the term "semi-pro." Sure, if they get paychecks, they are professionals, but clearly not major league, officially or unofficially. Same with the various junior hockey leagues, such as the WHL, to name one that's active locally.

 

Too late! Sold, one Triple A franchise masquerading as a MLB team, to the man from NM.

 

Hint #4 I'm enjoying a BLT for lunch...wait...that's not really a hint is it. Sorry...carry on.

 

That actually makes me wonder if there are any states without minor league baseball. AK and HI (for travel reasons alone)?
