What beer are you drinking now? #1237

Knee Deep Lupulin River. I got one of these in a trade about a year ago before Knee Deep was distributed in Connecticut. It exploded in the freezer because I was impatient and forgetful. In that order. So this is my first.

Settling in and watching the first Ali/Frazier fight, 'The Fight of The Century', which took place 45 years ago yesterday. I couldn't watch it because the girl was watching the debate. Still one of the most controversial fights in history. Ali got knocked down. Frazier took hundreds of jabs. Eitherway, it was the Golden Era in Heavyweight boxing in many ways. There was more punches thrown and landed in this fight than the last 5 heavyweight championships.

Burt Lancaster and Archie Moore commentated between rounds bumping Cosell out of coloring the match.

I had not gotten around to it, but definitely would be up for it! Good to see in a later post you got your wish and are already checking out the local beer scene .

The first time I had this a few years ago, I walks into a lesser known market you would find this ever. A year old on the bottle date. Smoothest tasting big abv beer , totally different than fresh also.. rich flavors. anyways ,,CHEERS!

 

I agree boxing is nothing like that anymore. you could watch and look forward to Friday night fights every week. now as with most things its all about how much hype. so we can charge 75 on PPV

 

Drinking a Julius, feel a bit of a cold coming on, may need more citrus.

 

Today is my Friday! So I'm partying like it's tomorrow.

 

Typical DFH beer. A bit of a risk buying a 4-pack but glad I did in this case. A very interesting Tripel. Cheers!

A lovely night and ACC Tourney, although right game early. Calls for a beer, so I figured I'd clear out a home brewed smoked ale.


Windows open, cats loving it, and the beer is still smokey, with a little burn in with the bitter. Past bottles were smoother. Oh well, not bad, just different.

Had Boom Sauce when it was first released and was not "blown away" (haha) giving them a re try. And I must say this is a pretty tasty DIPA. Grapefruit and pine with some tropical flavors and a slight haze. Now we're talking.
