I'm looking for a little help here. I'm looking for Jester King bottles in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. I have a good buddy (not a big craft guy) who lives in Azle. I'm hoping he would be able to pick up some JK bottles for me. Can anybody steer me in the right direction so I could ask him to pick them up for me? Thank you.
You will only find 750ml standard shelf beers of theirs. No fruited sours. Just FYI. DFW people can answer where though.
Nothing in Azle, as far as I know, bottle shop wise. Fossil Creek Liquor in Saginaw might be the closest beer store to him, and they carry limited JK stuff. Otherwise he'd have to drive down to FW to either Spec's or Central Market on Hulen.
From Azle his best chances are going into west Fort Worth at Central Market, Spec's in Roanoke, Fossil Creek Liquor in Saginaw, or the beer store near 35 and Western Center that I always forget (TexMex?). As others have said, he is only going to find the shelf beers and likely then only the most widespread beers.
Best answer for largest selection is to hop on 820 and visit Specs Bryant Irvin. They will have the largest stock of beer in FW. That being said, there's two Fossil Creeks within 10 mins of each other in Saginaw. Both SHOULD have a few bottles of JK. Doug at Specs will hook you up, and gives honest advice. He will also talk your ear off and assist in helping you spend all your money FWIW..
