I have only tried a couple myself. So far the one that I really enjoyed was benji's chipotle smoked imperial porter by tyranena.

Had some De Dolle Evil Arabier last night. That takes the cake for me at the moment.

I posted the below in a previous thread:

    Freigeist Bierkultur Hoppeditz

“This beer is a Sticke Alt that was brewed in Koln (Cologne). This is only the second time that I have had an Alt that was brewed in Koln. I asked the bartender about this and he educated me that Freigeist means Free Spirit in German. This beer was OUTSTANDING! In the parlance of Tony (BA boddhitree) this beer was WOW-WOW-WOW. There was so much complexity in this beer. There were some subtle smoke flavors but some dark malt flavors going on simultaneously: toasty, woody, licorice, toffee … plus some spice & a tiny bit of fruitiness. There is so much going on here (in a good way) that I can’t really do justice to this beer in describing it. This beer has more layers than Shrek!”

While there was a lot going on in Freigeist Bierkultur Hoppeditz every flavor & beer quality was in balance. Nothing dominated and nothing clashed. Simply put: a WONDERFUL beer!

    Cheers!

Free Will's Safeword. It's a mango habanero Imperial IPA and boy does it have a kick to it. The best part about it is that it's awesome!

Not super crazy, but I've always enjoyed Mammtoh IPA 395. Brewed with Juniper and Desert Sage, both noticeable but not overpowering. Great beer. Cheers!

I think Breckenridge did their 471 IIPA in bourbon barrels which was tremendous, imo.
FFF did an interesting coffee IPA last time I was at the brewpub.
A local brewery in my hometown Platform Beer Co. has a vertical series brewing pale ales with Cherimoya fruit. We just got in a day-old Cherimoya Pale Ale conditioned with Bergamot and Orange.
Omnipollo/Tired Hands Milkshake is also a delicious rare style.

I dislike more 'extreme' beers than I like. One I liked was Uerige Doppelsticke on Cask. I spent an hour and a half with this beer. Anise and medicinal herbs. Syrupy mouth feel.

The most recent unique that comes to mind is JWB's Eastbound & Down, a chocolate-coffee berliner...total headfuck.

As far as extreme, I'd say Stone Punishment. I was able to finish about 85% of the bomber on my ownsome, but had to drain pour the rest.

I don't even know if its considered extreme but I really enjoyed Founders Mango Magnifico. That sweet heat.

Foursome Belgian quad at 16 percent (UMPA!) and Aun Mas Chili Jesus was pretty unique, and toss in Prairie Bomb for good measure.

I actually really enjoyed Indra Kunindra. Definitely gotta be in the right mood for it (and know what you're getting into...), and appropriate food pairings help, but for what it is it's really well implemented

I never would have said that, even as much as I enjoy that beer. I suppose extreme is in the eye of the beholder.

I brewed a gose that I secondaried on a few pounds of trollbrite sour gummy worms. Sour as fuck, and in your face gummy worm flavor. Pretty awesome, though you can't drink much at once. Definitely a novelty.
