WOO I really wanted to do this one last year, but missed it. Pretty stoked this is the week of my girlfriends birthday. Two birds one stone type of situation :stuck_out_tongue:

Did anyone go last year? How was it?

I've never been but have heard great things about it. I believe they did a bottle release that day prior to the fest last year as well.

I thought it was a really well executed event. If I remember correctly there was little to no lines and more than enough space to where it never felt crowded. The only negative, which has nothing to do with FF or the festival, is the lack of transportation options- no uber, few taxis.

They released carolina custard and brutus the morning of the festival. I would highly recommend the event as one of the better festivals in NC.

I went last year, and plan to go this year as well. Great time, great beer and not huge crowds. This release of Carolina Custard and Brutus were a plus. I imagine if they plan to do a release that day, the festival will be a different story.

The problem with a release is that releases a year ago at FF were completely different animals that releases for them now... I hope to go to the festival though. Completely slept on the first two years, but friends of mine have gone and said it was lots of fun.

I wouldn't think having a release would mean the festival itself was more crowded, they're gonna probably sell all the tickets they have for it either way.

@brewshrink made a good point about public transportation. Morganton is still trying to cope with having such an influx of people swarm the community. That being said, there will be public transportation available this year to get from the hotels near exit 105 to downtown Morganton.

There is a Hampton Inn right off the highway and 5 minutes away from the brewery.

So now that funk fuzz is being released. Are there any more can I kick it beers being made??? Or can we expect a can I kick it blend of all of these beers?

They made a comment on an Instagram post that they were "ending that verse" with Funk Fuzz. Not exactly sure what that means, but something to chew on.

I can't believe there are still tickets with Funk fuzz available. I feel like after they expand with the new location, that this event is going to be the one to go to in NC. They've already made so many great brewery connections.
Anyone want to start speculation about what breweries could be there this year?
I'm guessing Scratch for sure because of the Instagram post.

I didn't expect them to last more than a day either. I can't go because it's my wife's 30th bday and we're gonna be doing other stuff that weekend, but I will pay for someone's ticket if I can have the bottles that come along with it. PM if interested.
