You know how the question 'Who would play you in the movie of your life?' is supposed to be a window into your self-perception/identity? Well, let's do a craft beer version. Put together a mixed six where each beer defines some part of you. Explanations/rationales for each selection optional. Go.

GI Bourbon County Stout - An over-the-top, rich, warm, boozy experience.
Saison Dupont - Elegance, class. Refinement. A quest for the finer things.
New Glarus Moon Man - Simple, easy to drink, perfect for outdoor family gatherings (cook-outs, etc)
Sprecher's Black Bavarian - Something out of left field in both style and brewery.
Sam Adams Octoberfest - Tradition. A standard.
Bear Republic Racer 5 - Since it's not available in my area, reaching for things you can never quite attain.

-Founder's Imperial Stout - Just a classic. Maybe I'm confusing this with my dream six pack, but I think this fits the bill. It also has some deep dark secrets.

-Bell's Expedition Stout - I love exploring. 'Nuff said.

-Terrapin Wake N Bake - I drink way to much morning every coffee, and don't have a problem with it.

-Boulevard's Early Riser - I also happen to get up quite early every morning, whether it be for work or a workout. Regardless, I don't care. I love the mornings.

-Duvel - Huge road cycling fan, especially the spring classics and cyclocross. Belgians do it bigger and better than anyone else, so figured I'd go with a Belgian classic that can be bought and consumed in large quantities really easy.

-Freestate's Old Backus - Love a good celebration, and this one seemed to fit the bill.

    Couldn't think of a runner's beer.

Runner's beers are tough - I'm a distance-runner myself. Leaning toward 5 Rabbit's 5 Lizard - a refreshing, slightly tart, and easy to crush wit.

Hey, look, I love beer. I LOVE beer. I love beer people. I love the beer scene. But if I felt I could be defined by a six pack, I would have to seriously consider quitting drinking beer. And maybe killing myself. But seriously, I am defined by so many things other than beer that this question, with all due respect to the OP, might be taking beer too far.

No worries. No offense taken - just meant simply as a fun thought-exercise while on my lunch hour. No need to take part, but perhaps no need to reference suicide as a preferable alternative to responding. Just my $0.02.

See when I read this thread I took it as the 6 beers that have defined my BEER drinking portion of my life. Beer isn't everything but it is something that I enjoy in life, that's why I'm here on this sight. Crack open a beer and relax

And if beer wasn't a part of our lives, a part of who we are, then we wouldn't be on the website. Figured this part of ourselves warranted a little examination. Nothing I'd write a thesis on, but a little thought...

Come on now... this was just a fun little question posed likely to get through the day. I guess we know who's pick six would be filled with sours.
