Just had this beer 2 weeks ago, it was amazing. I think I might have to seek out some more now!

Hmmmm, no limit. The last time they did this a lot of people walked away empty handed. I hope they learned their lesson and have much more of it bottled this time around.

Let's be perfectly clear, they are already calling this a Boondoggle:

"A boondoggle is a project that is considered a useless waste of both time and money"

Given how the other "no limit" releases have turned out over the last 6 months here in west MI, I think this will be an easy one to skip.

I'm kind of baffled by the popularity of this one. Way too sweet was the impression I got from the bottles I opened. I felt that none of the advertised flavors were there besides maple. Wimpy body too. It'll be interesting to see how ugly this thread gets though.

A great beer, but I'm not going to put myself through that hell.

I don't usually like to take a negative tone on these boards, but to me, "no limits" means no chance.

Interestingly enough, the last West Michigan release that was an all-out shit show actually had limits: Hazel's Nuts at Odd Side.

The Odd Side release prior to that--Hipster Brunch--had no limits and everyone who was lined up when they opened walked away with the beer.

I think someone mentioned it in the Hazel's thread that one of the Odd Side guys was speculating that putting limits on something can actually have a detrimental impact. That there is a psychological factor behind something being limited, and someone who wouldn't have otherwise bought the number of the limit decides to because of the limit. Whereas if there is no limit, *most* people tend to buy what they actually want or what they are planning on sending to friends/trade partners. With a limit, people just buy the limit thinking that they'll just trade the extras that they don't have a specific use for

So it will be interesting to see what happens. I'll be following this thread for sure, looking for posts about loaded-up KIAs

    - mug club members are eligible to purchase bottles an hour prior to open on the 26th

An interesting perspective - and I hope that's the case here. This will be an interesting release to keep an eye on.

This beer was at FoBaB along with a bunch of other "cinnamon" beers. Here is the rank so you can hype accordingly.

    2. Spiteful BA Chocolate Caliente Malevolence
    3. Lost Abbey Track #8
    4. Perrin No Rules
    5. 18th St BA Bitch B Crazy
    6. Imperial Oak Apple Brandy Beermuda Triangle with Cinnamon & Vanilla
    7. Tallgrass Barrel Aged Buffalo Sweat with Cinnamon

Anyone know what kind of distribution these have seen in the past or expected to see this time? I've wanted to try this, and wonder what it'll be like to actually get a bottle in distro in MI.

Not sure if 4th ranked beer is good or not at FOBAB, but from my experience, this beer was a hot mess. Not in the DragonTrax sense, but too many strong flavors competing against each other instead of working with each other. Just my 2c though.

Note, this was 4th ranked only among cinnamon beers (not an official category at Fobab) just my personal opinion.

Cinnamon? I dont recall any cinnamon in Perrin NR. And it doesn't say it on the side of bottle. I don't like cinnamon in my beer and thought this was the best new beer I had in 2015
