    So here comes 'amateur hour' when the part-time drinkers come out...St.Patty's Day.
    Anyone drinking green beer this year? Any alternative plans? Any great green beer stories?

    I've never had green beer, is it worth a try? I would think the food coloring does not affect the taste, right? Is it mostly Guiness that gets the treatment or all sorts of beers?

    It's cheap American beer that gets a dose of green food coloring. No point in drinking something that tastes the same but has the ability to alter the color of your piss.

    Food dye wouldn't do much to Guinness.

    @cryptichead, not worth your time.

    In my town it's the cheap stuff that goes green..Natural Bud Ice Lite or something...

    I was planning on having a delicious IPA from Stone tomorrow because it goes well with Pizza. And we always do pizza on Wednesday. The label is green? :stuck_out_tongue:

    Does it really change your piss to green? Now I'm interested!

    Getting more and more people calling in asking for kegs of green beer, and I give them all the same answer - just add green food coloring to the solo cup before you pour the beer. I refuse to bring in gimmick beer for holidays because I always end up sitting on cases or kegs that will never move.

    I'll probably have a few, st Patrick's day is fun and usually there isn't a whole lot of anything decent. Cheap beer is fine on occasion and green beer is harmless.

    Artificial food coloring is not good for you so I skip it 100%. I will however enjoy a good craft beer or two on St. Patty's day.

    no green beer but plenty of some FW Luponic Distortion and OB Pinner, at least.
    March Madness starts on St Patty's day, coincidence?

    Why the hell not? I don't mind drinking a couple green-tinted Harps, along with a couple Guinness Extra Stouts, and a couple of Irish Car Bombs (or a double of Jameson Caskmates). If I'm going out for St. Patrick's Day, I'm going all in.

    Has anyone ever come up with a cucumber IPA? I could see that happening.

    Wish I could get my hands on some real green beer - the stuff from the Czech Republic (Zelene Pivo).

    I think there is also a Nettle Beer that I recall as having a greenish color.
