I didn't realize Night Shift was coming to Maine but I saw Awake cans stocked at 2 places in Portland today, and saw that there is a Night Shift Tap Takeover tonight at Little Tap House in Portland. Very nice!

I wish they would work on distributing more product out to us in the western part of the state (I-91 and beyond) prior to moving on to others, but such is life.

Yeah, because Portland lacks great beer to choose from...not.

How about distributing to more places in MA?

Updated description for the Year IV party on the Night Shift Calendar indicates 2 beers being released rather than 4 :slight_frown: Oh well only half the delicious new beers I was expecting! Party sounds like a blast & I'm looking forward to it :grinning:

    Per Night Shift's description:
"It's been a great four years in business, and it's time to celebrate our fourth birthday with special beer releases, food trucks and cupcakes, a spring cleaning yard sale, a look back on the last few years, and a look forward to the future. The Beer: an apple brandy barrel aged maple oatmeal stout and a double IPA canned on the day of the party! The Food: Munch Mobile Kitchen, Daddy's Bonetown Burgers, Jennifer Lee's Gourmet Bakery cupcakes, and The Galley Ice Cream! Yard Sale: we'll have discounted vintage NSB styles of shirts on sale for as long as they stay in stock! A Look Back and A Look Forward: Check out our tours at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm to learn about how we've grown, and learn about our plans to open an expanded event space in Fall 2016! Join us, and share the excitement by RSVPing on Facebook for updates as they come - we have a few brews that might be ready in time, and we'll let you know if they're confirmed."

I've gotten growlers of a couple of the One Hops and they have been really good. I would snap up cans of those for sure if they showed up at Redstone. I love the Morph, too. That's pretty much my go-to IPA can these days, since it's on shelves more often.

Good visit today ... Pfaffenheck (pic below) was tasting good, not as clean as last time. Furth is a nice surprise and Whirlpool was great as usual.

Visiting on Saturday. Any gems I should keep an eye out for? Anything coming on that warrants mention?

Edit: holy shit. I guess I need to read more. Apparently we're heading in for quite the party. Awesome.

While we would love to get our beer out to Western MA it's not feasible for us to do so at this time. We self-distribute our beer in MA and concentration, volume, and time to drive out there doesn't make it cost effective for us to go that far west. Maybe sometime in the future we can, but till then Julios and Yankee Spirits will be our "western" outposts.

Also to note, west of 91 is the same distance as Portland is to our brewery. The only difference is we have a distributor in Maine that handles selling/delivering the beer up in Maine. Sending beer to Maine might seem somewhat random, but we have actually have had the ability to send beer up there for the past 3+ years. Why? Well, my father and his side of the family are all born and raised in Maine. My grandparents were potato farmers. I have spent nearly every summer in Maine from Kittery to Brunswick to Bar Harbor and all the way up in the County around Houlton and Grand Lake. Also, went to college in Maine (as well as one of my other co-founders). So we have a strong connection to that great state and have always wanted to share our beer in ME. With Boston area drinking every drop, we haven't had much beer to send north. But for this last drop we decided to try and squeeze out a bit to send to our friends in ME. Hope all enjoyed!

The other two beers were funky/sour beers that we had hoped would be ready. But turns out the wildness wasn't ready to be trapped in a bottle just yet. They just need more time than we originally expected.

I much prefer to drink beer when it's ready. Good to know.

It is very much appreciated! Will all of the Night Shift can lineup be distributed to Maine? When I go down to MA I usually bring a few packs of Santilli back north so it will be great if I no longer have to "self-distribute."

That's the goal. All our can products are registered with the state of ME. Now just need to crank out more volume to get a drop of hoppy offering shipped up to ME.
