Plan Bee - The Hive 2016

Nectar, Bartlett and Barn Beer are on deck according to today's email. April 3 or 10 NYC drop-off. Bartlett sounds awesome. No details on the others but I'm intrigued. Gonna likely buy all three this go-round.

 

Nectar is a sour w nectarines in it. Farm beer is gonna be their base for things down the road

 

Evan brewed Bartlett last year too - it was terrific, and aged well

 

Just got the email about Nectar going up at 5pm online store... question
as a member of the Hive can i purchase more besides the two I get guaranteed with my membership?

 

In the email I got she said there were plenty of bottles so no limit. What I'm not clear about is whether the other bottles she mentioned in yesterday's email will also be for sale. I have to assume they will be.

 

I got the impression from Tuesday's e-mail that while there will be additional bottles of all three for sale, only Nectar will be released to the bottle shop tomorrow. I imagine the other two will be released between now & the April 3/10 drop off.

 

Gotcha. I really need to get some of that Bartlett and will give the Barn Beer a run.

 

Any idea if any of the new beers will be available to non members?

Really interesting that there is no limit at all. Hopefully we don't get that one guy that buys a ton of bottles and ruins it for everyone else.

Also, does anyone know approximately how many Hive members there are?

 

Yes, Hive members can buy extra bottles from the shop

They have 150 Hive members and have the capacity to have 56 more members in a Boston Hive that will start in May. So math will tell me 206 members total.

 

Any idea how many Swarm members?

 

Not sure on this as I haven't asked and The Swarm remains open through 7/31, so new members can continue to join.

 

Bump for on sale. Wasn't missing it again but probably didn't have to worry.

 

Super easy release. The addition of the cart is great even though I was only buying Nectar

 

Emily wasn't kidding about the supply. Nectar is still available as of this morning.

 

After visiting the farm and seeing their new setup, there will be plenty of bottles from every release.
