Just bought a fresh arrogant bastard and noticed they started using sticker labels instead of screen printing the bottles like before. Hopefully this isn't going to be the case for all the stone brewing beers soon, I always enjoyed Thier screen printed bottle graphics [IMG]

Agreed, that wouldn't be my favorite move either, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. They could put a piece of notebook paper on with tape if the contents inside are good.

Its what's inside that matters. Cheers

Didn't their screen printed bottles have some warning about the ink being known to cause cancer in the state of California? Could have something to do with that.

Well technically they're not Stone brewing anymore...maybe the heads of Arrogant Bastard Brewing decided this was easier.

Haha. Only in my freshman year. Sophomore through senior year was straight bourbon.

I remember seeing this on some stone beers and thought I narrowed it down to red printing, but it might have been just ab. if anyone has an answer relating to this it would be awesome.

I think California Prop 65 says everything has to be labeled with, "WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm".

Nice. I try to save bottles for home brewing, so I see it as a positive.

The screen printed labels are nice, but you know what's better? The beer that's in the bottle. :grinning:

Not so much screen printing on bottles, but more why the change?

Don't know the reason for the change, but who cares as long as the contents are still awesome !!

I'm sorry, I don't mean to demean your post, but do you really care whether a bottle has a paper label or is screen printed? Does it make one iota of difference as to whether you buy a beer or not?

No. But I would like to know why Stone is switching over, if that's the case.

I care. If it is true that they are changing the labels it would be interesting to know why.
