Actually in my experience Dogfish Head Punkin ages quite nicely and is very good after a year. I've had some of the Terrapin Pumpkinfest do nicely at six to eight months out and some Post Road Pumpkin actually got better (to me) after it had aged and the clove taste lightened up. I feel they aren't as time sensitive as many other beers though some may do better than others and some may prefer them fresh regardless.

smashed pumpkin is good, moose jaw brewing company in the Wis. Dells has a wonderful one on tap that rivals pumking.

Best ever: Voodoo Headless Horseman (alas, no longer produced)
    Best imperial: Pumking
Best session: Uinta (dirt cheap, and pretty damn good taste for a 4%)

I've had 13 of the top 50 so far. Plan to get to at least 30/50 this season. Some of these are crazy hard to get though!

    Schlafly
    Pumking
    DFH Punkin Ale

That's pretty much my top ten- I've had plenty of others, but these three are the standard bearers of the style for my tastes.

    There's Selin's Grove, and then there's everything else. Unfortunately, it's a DONG.

Good Gourd - Best I've had in my life.
Better than punkin and pumking and smashed pumpking

Forgive me if I missed it...but does this have anything to do with availability? How you can have a Top 10 without Good Gourd included is beyond me.

One of the problems with Pumpkin beer lists is that a good chunk of them are regional, and more and more we're starting to see people taking them in other style directions (pumpkin saison, pumpkin lager, pumkin porter, etc.) which doesn't even really seem like a fair comparison.
If we're judging them on "anything that has the word Pumpkin in the title" - give me Pumking, Schlafly, Ghoul Fuel, Fat Jack, Dark 'o The Moon, Dark Harvest, BJ's (except 2011), Upslope, and the Great Pumpkin.

Damn no love for Uinta oak jacked or Cape Ann fishermans Imp pumpkin stout? They take the top eight slots in my top 10 followed by fegley's and weyerbacher

It's local to MA but Cambidge Brewing CO's Great Pumpkin Ale is one of the only ones I enjoy. Lightly spiced, low ABV (4.4), and tastes like pumpkin flesh instead of pie. Just my... opinion man.

In no particular order, these are the ones I really like:
    Shipyard's Smashed Pumpkin
    Heavy Seas Great'er Pumpkin
    Southern Tier's Pumking
    Dogfish Head's Punkin

I haven't liked most of the others I've tried enough to buy them again.

Should be able to get Treat this year, since my local beer retailer started carrying Midnight Sun's line this past spring.

DFH and Pumpking are my favorite. Upslope a local darkhorse getting canned here soon. About to say Fall but right around the corner, what's with all these Pumpkin beers coming out in August???

My wife loves Pumpkin beers, so want to have a tasting for her. Any idea how available any of these beers are? Selin, Williamsburg, and Horseheads.
