i waited at least 20 min to get through mac and gold line and was delicious! lobster mac was delightful and rosemary french fries were real nice! great crowd,bbvd and vandaley industries stole the show and everyone loved my dogs purple sweater! bg was a fun after party also!

Sorry, those adjectives were meant for each beer in the release:
Infected = Blackbeard
Thin = old jive
Delicious = bourmuda
?? = taco kisses

 

People are sending you free beer !! How do you not have 10 seconds to see what state the box came from? Then another 2 minutes to take a picture and post it ?

 

I liked Old Jive and Bourmuda, the latter moreso due to how unique and interesting it was in a positive way. Taco Flavored Kisses was harsh as hell and I don't really remember anything about Blackbeards. I tried it on draft day of, traded one of my bottles to a regular (which, in turn cost me a GNVP as an "I'm sorry" bottle), and still have my other. I'll crack it some day...

I've still got Taco floating around in my cellar. Old Jive was just dominated by the Wild Turkey barrel. I traded Bourmuda and Blackbeards.

 

Forgive me for posting in a thread i have no place in, but as the organizer/host of said superbowl squares post i feel the need to respond directly to this because i have had 0 luck communicating with you in the group message or superbowl thread.

I agree, to an extant, you were getting shit. If shit is reminding you to be kind and post pictures to acknowledge that you received a box. Not wanting to post pictures, for whatever reason that may be is one thing. But at the very least you could make a comment about receiving a box and what you received. Without you posting updates, i have no clue if you have received all of your boxes. Which i feel as the host is my responsibility.

This comment you made is completely ignorant. You won a pretty large scale BIF and people are sending you a lot of beer. Beer they spent their hard earned money on and made sure fit your likes. They spent their time shopping for beers and packaging/shipping your box. And your saying you cant take a few minutes to literally snap a picture and thank the member for sending your box? None of the other 7 winners had a single problem doing so...

I don't know anything about this situation, but since you decided to descend upon this thread.... Posting pictures is f*cking annoying on this site. I don't blame him at all at not posting them. Also, he won. Just because he won and he doesn't play by your rules doesn't mean you have to belittle him here. If you didn't want to ship beer to a potential a hole you shouldn't play the game. Sending someone an enjoyable beer isn't that hard.

Im not belittling him. Im calling him out because instead of responding to the group that sent him beer, he is complaining about it in a separate thread. and its more about common courtesy than it is about "playing by the rules" Sure sending someone an enjoyable beer isnt that hard. But neither is receiving it and thanking someone.

 

Like I said, I didn't know if there was more story then that. I mean, a thank you is nice, but if you lose and don't get a thank you it's not the worst thing. If he owed beer, didn't ship, or owed money it's different. Just don't invite him to the next one and move on.

Common courtesy doesn't take that much time or effort & is certainly worth it considering the time & effort put into checking your wants to track down beers that you will enjoy. I was pool #1 and the winners in that pool didn't seem to have a problem posting pics so I'm not sure why you do.

WTF are you talking about complaining about it in a separate thread? Your minion came on this forum to try to call me out on such a silly matter, and I simply replied with what really happened. I never had the intention of wasting everyone's time on this thread, that's on you guys.

 

You are an experienced trader with 19 trades, and any experienced trader knows the most important thing in trading is communication. A breakdown there is what usually leads to issues like this coming up. You deliberately chose to ignore numerous requests from me and other participants to merely confirm that you at least received our boxes. We just wanted to confirm you got our boxes, and you chose to ignore us. To date, you still haven't answered that for myself and many others. You acknowledged in one email the first 5 boxes you received by the names on the shipping label. Other than that, the only communication we received from you were your two other posts.

1. "One thing I forgot to mention to @xlcoorsyix, I'm sure most of you wouldn't do this anyways, but please, if it's something hoppy, and doesn't have a reasonable ottle date or not one at all and you don't know for sure that it was just recently bottled, please do not send."

2. 44 oz is just the minimum, certainly don't mind getting more.

Other than that, no replies to merely verify you received our boxes. We all sent you tracking numbers in the email thread. Is it really that Herculean an effort to match those to the box when it arrives and at least let the guy know you received it?

I've participated in a lot of these BIFs and most guys are extremely generous, I'm sure you got some really nice boxes of beer. I sincerely hope you enjoy them.

Grow up and stop crying like a baby and move on from regional thread. Take it to BM or FB, but leave this thread about Pittsburgh.

 

You mentioned posting pictures was "f*cking annoying" you must get annoyed a lot faster than I that's all.

 

Thanks to @dannyfayy for a 077XX and to @Tedwarhc for delivering it. My social footprint is hindered by the toddler squatters in my house, and such an easy exchange is often difficult. Prolly going drink that guy for breakfast. Hope to see you guys (and others) at the Voodoo release.
