Locally (in Denver), I bet a fair number of people were stuck in snow traffic when the announcement came.
That likely kept the instant-sellout from happening.

Texas people weren't =) lol. Sorry, couldn't resist. If it makes you feel any better it was 92 degrees here on Tuesday (already).

Besides the picture hint above, Troy said he'll announce beers/limits by the end of next week. Just keep an eye on the FB page/event.

Ha! How many $30 beers do you see on the shelves from anyone and which do you consider drainpours?

Lots of overpriced crap on the shelves that ain't worth the price of entry. If you're going to have a high price tag then it better be worth it. Casey is worth the price IMO.

Lots of beers sitting on shelves in the mid-to-high-20s range (Bruery, Evil Twin, Cascade, etc) and while I wouldn't consider them drain pours, I also am not spending that kind of money on them. On the other hand, for a bottle of Casey to be sitting there at $30, I know without a shade of doubt that I will enjoy whatever is in that bottle.

Anywho, without rehashing the whole commodity convo about voting with dollars and yada yada, I got an email from Mr. B's last night saying I was good and I could purchase my bottle starting Monday morning. I live in Colorado Springs, so I am now deciding which day to drive up and all the stops I am going to make. One bottle of beer will bring business to at least 3-4 local establishments.

I have not been able to make it up this quarter due to a recent surgery and can't make it to the April release. If there are any EF members out there that can help me out with a pick up for April, please let me know. I can meet you later that day in Denver, that Sunday, or whenever is convenient for you. I will also have some Thank you beers for your help. If you can help me out send me a PM.

    Cheers!

There aren't many beers worth dropping $30 a bottle for. Troy's beers have been so far. The stuff from AC Golden, both old and new, as well. If CS went back to 750's (I wish they would), some of those would be worth it.
Those are the only ones I'd personally pay $30+ for in CO. At least at the moment.

Hey cool. This new method gives me a zero % chance of getting tickets to a Casey event. I am at work during those hours and all social media is blocked. Oh well.

Go on brownpapertickets.com and look up the event?

Except wait until next month because it's sold out.

I'll be attempting to get a ticket to the April 30 release. If want to go, lets be in touch in the next couple weeks. Assuming I'm able to get tickets, I can put you down for my second ticket.

The brownpapertickets mobile site works well. I've bought tickets to a couple of the events from my phone.

Agreed. I got my ticket to the December release (Apricot + Peach cut) sitting on a plane at the gate using my phone, despite the tickets selling out in about a minute. I may have been a bit lucky but it wasn't a major hindrance.

That would be great, but I can't have my phone either.
