How did you find it amongst the million Cycle weekday stout offers?

 

since I brought up the flavor of the week.. I have a serious question (and I really hope it doesn't melt the thread down..)

First let me say flat out, I'm looking for suggestions, we all have different flavors we like..

I'm trying to get several special awesome beers for a special occasion later in the year (probably to be drunk over a couple of nights, so as to not ruin the flavor of each). I've traded for a Rare 15, some eclipses, a couple years of BBPt5, a white chocolate (but it might be bad based on the year) and some smaller stuff. I'll have the voodoo ones from saturday, if I get to try them on tap and they don't hit right, I *might* consider letting one of the doubles I get go, but it'll have to be for something worth it.

Without having a huge cellar, what would you recommend I take a run at getting? (nothing that tastes like grapefruit, or is a sour). Scarcity doesn't concern me, (like if I get something, I should save it as it will increase in "value"), whatever I get will be opened and drank, so I'm going all for flavor / awesomeness.

 

This isn't really news per se, but I'm super stoked for Saturday. Like hecka. And I have a DD and three mules so I might eat my weight in cupcakes.

Yeah. I would suggest it. I'll be the guy in the Thunderbird, sleeveless denim jacket with patches, and a mullet.

 

I'm so looking forward to be moving copious amounts of boxes instead of drinking Voodoo beers on draft on Saturday afternoon.

Yeah? Going to have to seek that bad boy out then. Had the Vanilla and Coffee Bean Bourbon Barrel version yesterday and it was damn tasty (thanks, @Dogleg!). Vanilla kept the bourbon in check, but would've like a touch more coffee.

 

I had Oro Blanco on tap at the Anniversary and it was awesome. They have a handful of "white stouts" and all that I have tried have been very very good

 

Absolutely. I've had multiple shipments that have been reported delivered, only to show up at my neighbors' across the street (who were sensible/nice enough not to open it), or not for days later (which happened with a box from France). You gotta let the senders know. And for god's sake, just say thank you.
