This is the second time I have had this beer. I think I was a little harsh on it at first. This seems pretty damn nice tonight.

I suck at using the multiple quote feature so work with me here. 'Just wanted to expand upon my above quote - I was referring to the cartoon IceAce posted which was priceless and spot on and made me laugh, the unjustified violence in Belgium however, just saddens me. Like I said, my next beer would be a Belgian/style and this is the closest I have right now. Standing in solidarity for Belgium and I feel bad for my kids having to grow up in this ugly world. I know I said it recently that this is a really good locally brewed brown ale. But I am spoiled by the Cigar City Maduro brown ale.

 

Sounds like a fabulous brew. And divine choice of music to boot. Look at those fingers.....amazing

Still tasting pretty good even though the coffee is beginning to go bye-bye. Nice little caramel, butterscotch aftertaste. Cheers all.

 

Gonna roll into the black of the night by fading into the blackness of this beer.


Figured why not try it on it's 1/2 birthday (remember, it's a leap year!) - still a bunch of roasted bitterness, but just a little more chocolatey than I recall. This has spent most its life in the fridge, so wasn't expecting much aging effect, really. Just seemed like a good choice from the fridge.
